Farrell, Sloand named to Academic All-Patriot League team
Two members of the Lehigh women’s tennis team were named to the Academic All-Patriot League team announced Wednesday. Junior Jill Sloand and sophomore Abby Farrell both boast cumulative grade point averages above 3.90 and both student-athletes have made regular appearances on the Dean’s List and Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.

Bilimoria, Farrell represent Lehigh on All-League teams
Junior Jenai Bilimoria and sophomore Abby Farrell led the Lehigh women’s tennis team on the court in 2013 and on Wednesday they were named to the All-Patriot League teams. Bilimoria earned her second career All-League honor as she appears on the first team for the first time, while Farrell was named to the second team. The All-Patriot League teams are voted on by the league’s head coaches.

Mountain Hawks season ends with 4-1 loss to Colgate in PLT
The Lehigh women’s tennis team saw its season come to an end with a 4-1 loss to Colgate Friday in a Patriot League quarterfinal matchup at Army’s Malek Tennis Courts. Junior Jenai Bilimoria picked up a singles win for the fifth-seeded Mountain Hawks but the No. 4 seed Raiders won the doubles point and three singles matches to advance to Saturday’s semifinals against top seed Army.

Lehigh to face Colgate in PLT Friday at West Point
The Lehigh women’s tennis team heads to West Point, N.Y for the Patriot League Championship, hosted by Army beginning Friday. The fifth-seeded Mountain Hawks will play No. 4 seed Colgate in the first of three quarterfinal matches set for Friday at Army’s Malek Tennis Courts.

Seeds and matchups for this weekend’s Patriot League Women’s Tennis Tournament at West Point, N.Y. were announced Tuesday afternoon. Lehigh earned the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 seed Colgate in the first of three quarterfinal matches beginning Friday at 9 a.m.

Bilimoria, Bruch earn singles wins as Lehigh falls to Bucknell
In its final Patriot League match of the regular season, the Lehigh women’s tennis team fell to Bucknell by a 5-2 score Tuesday afternoon on the Ulrich Varsity Courts. Junior Jenai Bilimoria and sophomore Emily Bruch posted singles wins for the Mountain Hawks, who fall to 5-14 overall and 2-4 in the Patriot League.

Lehigh wins doubles point but falls 6-1 to Navy
The Lehigh women’s tennis team won the doubles point from a tough Navy squad but the visiting Midshipmen dominated singles play to rally for a 6-1 win over the Mountain Hawks Sunday on the Ulrich Varsity Courts. The Mountain Hawks posted two doubles wins, but Navy swept through six singles matches, winning all six in straight sets.

Women's tennis hosts Navy, Bucknell to open final homestand
The Lehigh women’s tennis team will close out the regular season with three straight home matches, beginning Sunday when Navy visits the Ulrich Varsity Courts. The Mountain Hawks will then host Patriot League foe Bucknell on Tuesday before closing out the regular season at home against Rider on Friday April 19.

Lehigh rolls to 7-0 win over rival Lafayette
Four days after the Lehigh men’s tennis team blanked rival Lafayette, the Mountain Hawk women replicated the feat with a 7-0 win Tuesday afternoon on the Sullivan Tennis Courts. The Mountain Hawks two of the three doubles matches and prevailed in all six singles matches to post their 13th straight win over the Leopards.

Mountain Hawks fall to Army in second PL contest
The Lehigh women’s tennis team fell to Army 7-0 on Sunday in its second Patriot League contest of the season. The sweep followed Lehigh’s 7-0 shutout of Holy Cross on Saturday at Army’s Lichtenberg Tennis Center, making Lehigh 3-11 overall and evening its Patriot League mark to 1-1. The Black Knights improved to 13-3 overall and have now won 57 straight Patriot League regular season matches.

The Lehigh women’s tennis team opened Patriot League play on a strong note as the Mountain Hawks dominated Holy Cross 7-0 Saturday at Army’s Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks dropped just five games in sweeping the doubles matches and won all six singles matches in straight sets to improve to 3-10 on the season.

Farrell wins in singles and doubles but Lehigh falls at Bethune-Cookman
The Lehigh women’s tennis team closed out its spring break trip to Florida with a 5-2 loss to Bethune-Cookman Wednesday afternoon. Sophomore Abby Farrell was a winner in both singles and doubles but the Wildcats won two of three doubles matches plus four singles matches to earn the win, dropping the Mountain Hawks to 2-9 on the season.

Mountain Hawks fall 8-1 to nationally-ranked Florida Tech
In the opening match of its spring break trip, Lehigh played outdoors for the first time this season, but the Mountain Hawks fell to a tough Florida Tech squad 8-1 Monday on the Fee Avenue Courts. In a match that was played with Division II nine-point scoring, Lehigh mustered just one point against a Panther team that is ranked 16th in Division II.

Lehigh to face two Florida schools on spring break trip
The Lehigh women’s tennis team is preparing to hit the road for their spring break trip to Florida for two matches. The Mountain Hawks will start their trip in Melbourne, Fla. on Monday March 11 for a match against Florida Tech before heading to Daytona Beach for an afternoon match against Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday, March 13.

Mountain Hawks suffer 7-0 loss to Temple Sunday
In the final match of its eight match home stand, Lehigh fell to Temple by a 7-0 score Sunday afternoon inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The visiting Owls rolled to wins in all three doubles matches and swept all six singles matches in straight sets to send the Mountain Hawks (2-7) to their second straight setback.
