Mountain Hawks place 14 on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Fourteen members of the Lehigh women’s soccer team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Friday. The 14 honorees were third most in the Patriot League, which totaled 98 members.
Freshman Paige Elliot, an Engineering major, and sophomore Biochemistry major Sophie Mayeux led the team with perfect 4.0 grade-point averages. At two, Lehigh had the most student-athletes in the league to achieve a perfect 4.0. Following them were juniors Paige Dyrek, Katie Gavalchin and Ali Griffin who each posted 3.92 GPAs.
American and Bucknell tied for the league lead with 20 selections apiece, followed by Lehigh with 14 and Lafayette with 13. Army and Holy Cross tied with nine selections each, while Navy had eight and Colgate five. To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the semester of their sport’s competition.
Lehigh finished its season with a 5-13 record, 3-4 in Patriot League play, and qualified for the Patriot League tournament after winning its final three regular season games against Patriot League opposition. Following the campaign, Elliot was named a First Team All-Patriot League performer and junior Murphee Greeley earned second team honors. Lehigh graduates four seniors and returns 18 underclassmen for next season.
