In 2007-08: Deferred elegibility… did not compete in any open tournaments due to injury but returned to mats in time for spring freestyle season… placed third at Northeast Senior Freestyle tournament with 3-1 record… captured seventh place at FILA Junior National Freestyle Championships, with 4-2 mark.

In secondary school: Three-time Delaware state champion for Sussex Central… amassed over 150 career wins… won a junior national championship in 2006… ranked third in his weight class and 24th nationally by InterMat… won the Dave Schultz Award for the state of Delaware… two time Fargo National Champion… Beast of the East Champion.

Personal: Son of John and Barbara McDonald… sister Maggie (27) and brother Daniel (18)… enjoys golf and soccer.
