The Lehigh women’s golf team wrapped up action at the Roar-EE Invitational, its final event of the season on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks had a strong second-round score of 316 to finish ninth in the 14-team field at 648 (332-316). Junior Chelsea Michalek was Lehigh’s top individual finisher, tying for 16th at 157 (77-80), as action concluded at Spook Rock Golf Course.
Junior Chelsea Michalek shot an opening round 77 to lead Lehigh in its final event of the spring season, the Roar-EE Invitational, which began Friday at Spook Rock Golf Club. Michalek is tied for 11th overall while as a team, the Mountain Hawks sit in ninth place in the 14 team field.
With one tournament remaining in her junior year, Chelsea Michalek has already led Lehigh’s women’s golf team to its second straight win at the Sunshine Spring Classic. Individually, Michalek has accumulated five top-ten finishes. The Chicago native says that her biggest accomplishment to date was leading the women’s golf program, to its first ever tournament wins as a program.
The Lehigh women’s golf team wrapped-up action at the Spider Spring Intercollegiate Tuesday at Independence Golf Club Tuesday. Although the Mountain Hawks did not have the best scoring day, they did play well enough to move up into fourth place in the 14 team field finishing at 961 (319-318-324).
The Lehigh women’s golf team opened up action at the Spider Spring Invitational Monday with the first 36 holes of competition at Independence Golf Club. It was a strong first day for the Mountain Hawks who sit in fifth place out of 14 teams after the opening day of competition.
