Mountain Hawks close out fall season at Lehigh Invitational
In its final event of the fall season, the Lehigh women’s golf team finished seventh at the Lehigh Invitational, which wrapped-up Sunday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. The Mountain Hawks followed up a round of 317 on Saturday with a 323 on Sunday to finish at 640.

Lee leads Mountain Hawks on day one of Lehigh Invitational
Junior Crystal Lee shot an opening round 77 to lead Lehigh on day one of the Lehigh Invitational, which kicked off Saturday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. Lee sits in a tie for 11th place, while as a team the Mountain Hawks shot 317 and sit in sixth place in a field of eight teams.

Lehigh set to host Lehigh Invitational this weekend at SVCC
The Lehigh women’s golf team concludes its fall season this weekend as the Mountain Hawks host the Lehigh Invitational at Saucon Valley Country Club. Eight teams will compete on Saucon Valley’s Grace Course with Georgetown, Princeton, Rutgers, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Siena and Yale joining the Mountain Hawks for the two-day, 36-hole event.

Schapira, freshmen pace Mountain Hawks at Rutgers Invitational
The Lehigh women’s golf team shot a final-round 320 to finish in ninth place at the Rutgers Invitational, which wrapped-up Saturday on the Rutgers University Golf Course. The Mountain Hawks finished at 643 (323-320) with the trio of senior Ginette Schapira and freshmen Tess Jennings and Nicole Feierberg leading Lehigh’s scoring players, tying for 34th place.

Mountain Hawks return to links at Rutgers Invitational
The Lehigh women’s golf team will travel to New Jersey to compete in the Rutgers Invitational this Friday and Saturday at the Rutgers University Golf Course. The par-72 course was opened in 1963. Lehigh returns to the Rutgers Invitational after missing the tournament last season and finishing fifth out of 20 teams in 2010.

Mountain Hawks finish 12th at Yale Intercollegiate
In its second event of the fall season, the Lehigh women’s golf team finished in 12th place in the 16-team Yale Intercollegiate, which wrapped-up Sunday on the Course at Yale. The Mountain Hawks posted a three-day, 54-hole score of 958 (321-322-315), highlighted by a 315 on Sunday’s final day of competition.

The Lehigh women’s golf team returns to the links this weekend at the three-day Yale Intercollegiate, which begins Friday in New Haven, Conn. The Mountain Hawks opened their fall campaign with a sixth place finish at the 15-team Bucknell Invitational Sept. 8-9 in Lewisburg, Pa.

Mountain Hawks open season with sixth place finish in Lewisburg
In its opening event of the fall season the Lehigh women’s golf team finished in sixth place at the 15-team Bucknell Fall Invitational which wrapped up Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Course. The Mountain Hawks shot a final round 314 to finish at 945 (320-311-314), 15 strokes behind the team champions from Boston University.

Lehigh off to solid start at Bucknell Invitational
The Lehigh women’s golf team opened its fall season with a strong showing on day one of the Bucknell Invitational Saturday at the par-70 Bucknell Golf Course. The Mountain Hawks, under first-year head coach Judy Dwyer, shot an opening round 320 and a second round 311 to sit in sixth place in the 15 team field with a 36 hole score of 631.

Mountain Hawks to open fall season this weekend at Bucknell
Armed with an experienced roster, first-year head coach Judy Dwyer leads the Lehigh women’s golf team into the 2012-13 season, which begins this weekend when the Mountain Hawks compete at the Lady Bison Fall Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa. The Mountain Hawks did not lose any seniors to graduation, and with current seniors Chelsea Michalek, Ginette Schapira and Natalie Lansing leading the way, Dwyer is excited for what lies ahead for the program in the future.

Women's golf adds two freshmen for 2012-13 season
Lehigh head coach Judy Dwyer has announced the addition of two newcomers who will be joining the Mountain Hawks’ women’s golf program later this month. Nicole Feierberg and Tess Jennings will join Dwyer’s first Lehigh squad as head coach. The duo joins an experienced group of veteran players in a program that did not lose any seniors to graduation.

Record 11 Mountain Hawks named Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars
A record 11 Lehigh student-athletes were recently recognized as recipients of the 2012 Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports Scholar Award as named earlier this week by Diverse Issues in Higher Education. Eight different Lehigh athletic programs are represented, including men’s and women’s cross country and track and field, men’s and women’s lacrosse, women’s golf, women’s swimming and diving, women’s soccer and softball.

Lehigh names Judy Dwyer head women's golf coach
Lehigh Athletics has announced the hiring of Judy Dwyer as its new women’s golf coach. The announcement marks a return to Lehigh for Dwyer, a long-time member of Saucon Valley Country Club, as she previously served as an assistant coach for the Mountain Hawks from 2008 to 2010.

Mountain Hawks finish up spring season on final day at Roar-EE Invitational
The Lehigh women’s golf team wrapped up action at the Roar-EE Invitational, its final event of the season on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks had a strong second-round score of 316 to finish ninth in the 14-team field at 648 (332-316). Junior Chelsea Michalek was Lehigh’s top individual finisher, tying for 16th at 157 (77-80), as action concluded at Spook Rock Golf Course.

Michalek markets herself as leader for Lehigh women's golf
With one tournament remaining in her junior year, Chelsea Michalek has already led Lehigh’s women’s golf team to its second straight win at the Sunshine Spring Classic. Individually, Michalek has accumulated five top-ten finishes. The Chicago native says that her biggest accomplishment to date was leading the women’s golf program, to its first ever tournament wins as a program.

Michalek leads Mountain Hawks to fourth place at Spider Intercollegiate
The Lehigh women’s golf team wrapped-up action at the Spider Spring Intercollegiate Tuesday at Independence Golf Club Tuesday. Although the Mountain Hawks did not have the best scoring day, they did play well enough to move up into fourth place in the 14 team field finishing at 961 (319-318-324).

Mountain Hawks return to Virginia for Spider Spring Invitational
Lehigh travels to Richmond, Va. this weekend to participate in the Spider Spring Invitational Monday and Tuesday at Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Va. This will be the third event the Mountain Hawks are participating in this spring season, after finishing tenth out of 16 teams at the C&F Bank Invitational last weekend in Williamsburg, Va.

Mountain Hawks finish tenth at C&F Bank Intercollegiate
The Lehigh women’s golf team wrapped-up action at the C&F Bank Intercollegiate Tuesday at the Kingsmill Resort River Course. After sitting in fifth place after 36 holes, the Mountain Hawks had a rough day Tuesday, as they fell to tenth place in the 16 team field with a final score of 946 (316-305-325).

Mountain Hawks return to action at C&F Bank Invitational
Lehigh will travel to Williamsburg, Virginia this weekend to participate in the C&F Bank Intercollegiate women’s golf tournament, hosted by William & Mary. This will be the team’s second event of a spring season that’s been successful thus far. The Mountain Hawks will compete against 20 teams in the three-day event, including Boston College, Delaware, St. John’s, Toledo, Hampton, and the host Tribe.

Lehigh repeats as champions at Sunshine Spring Classic
Led by a second-place overall finish by sophomore Crystal Lee, the Lehigh women’s golf team opened its spring season by capturing the team title at the Sunshine Spring Classic, which wrapped-up Friday at Rio Pinar Country Club. Lee shot a 36-hole score of 152 (75-77) helping Lehigh to a final team score of 623 (309-314) as the Mountain Hawks repeated as team champions with an eight shot win over Seminole Community College.

Mountain Hawks hold first round lead at Sunshine Spring Classic
Behind a solid team effort the Lehigh women’s golf team is out to a fast start in its spring season opener as the Mountain Hawks hold the 18-hole lead at the Sunshine Spring Classic, which started Thursday at Rio Pinar Country Club. Lehigh has three individuals in the top ten as the Mountain Hawks shot 309 on the day to hold a four shot lead in the ten team event.

Lehigh opens spring season; looks to defend Sunshine Classic title
The Lehigh women’s golf team will open up its spring season on Thursday at the Sunshine Spring Classic, hosted by Detroit Mercy at the Rio Pinar Country Club in Orlando, Fla. The Mountain Hawks won the inaugural Sunshine Spring Classic last spring. The two-day event will be the first of four tournaments for the Mountain Hawks this spring.

Rob Shutte named head men's golf coach at Rutgers
Rob Shutte has stepped down as Lehigh University’s head women’s golf coach to accept the responsibilities as head men’s golf coach at Rutgers University. Shutte was in the midst of his second season at Lehigh, as he helped rebuild the women’s golf program into one that was consistently competitive on the course, while also excelling academically.
