Lehigh led by 11 at the half and came out strong in the second half building a 22-point lead and it would never look back as the Mountain Hawks moved to 1-0 on the season.
“I was pleased with our overall effort: we were a little sloppy early, but that was to be expected,” head coach Sue Troyan said. “I was happy with the way we settled down and finished.”
The Mountain Hawks opened the first half and built a 6-0 lead over Lipscomb as Lehigh held the Lady Bisons scoreless for the first 5:16. With the score tied at 18-18 late in the half the Mountain Hawks were able to rattle off five straight points and the Brown and White finished the half with a 35-24 lead.
