Lehigh kicks off road trip at Navy Wednesday
Winners of three straight Patriot League games, the Lehigh women’s basketball team will look to keep its winning streak going as it takes on Navy Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the first of three-straight road games. The Mountain Hawks sit in sole possession of second place in the League and will look to put some distance between themselves and the defending PL Champion Navy which is tied for third.

Williams named Patriot League Player of the Week
Senior forward Alexa Williams was named the Patriot League Player of the Week, as announced by the League Monday. The Warren, Ohio native led Lehigh to a pair of victories last week as she averaged 19.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and shot 56 percent from the floor. The honor is Williams’ first of her career as the Mountain Hawks now sit in sole possession of second place in the Patriot League.

Williams, Peterson pace Lehigh past Lafayette 68-55
Senior Alexa Williams and junior Kelly Peterson posted career highs of 23 and 17 points respectively to pace Lehigh past Lafayette 68-55 Saturday. The duo combined for 14 of Lehigh’s 22 made field goals while defensively, Lehigh held Lafayette to one field goal in the game’s final four minutes. With the victory, the Mountain Hawks now sit in sole possession of second place in the Patriot League.

Lehigh set to host rival Lafayette Saturday
Winners of eight of its last 10 including a pair of League games, the Lehigh women’s basketball team (10-8, 3-1 PL) will look to continue its momentum as it hosts Lafayette (7-12, 1-3 PL) Saturday at 7 p.m. It will be the 80th meeting between the rivals and while the Leopards hold the all-time edge, the Mountain Hawks have won eight of the last nine with a 16 point average margin victory.

Lehigh uses strong second half to down Bucknell 53-38
After a slow start to the game, the Lehigh women’s basketball (10-8, 3-1) team picked up its defensive pressure in the second half to defeat Bucknell (2-17, 0-4 PL) 55-38 Wednesday night. The Mountain Hawks held the Bison to just 14 points in the second half after Lehigh trailed 24-22 at halftime. Lehigh was led by senior Emily Gratch’s 17 points and seven rebounds while senior Alexa Williams added 15 points and 10 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.

Lehigh looks for 3-1 League start at Bucknell Wednesday
The Lehigh women’s basketball team will look for its second straight League win Wednesday as the Mountain Hawks face Bucknell at 7 p.m. Lehigh will hope to ride the momentum of Saturday’s thrilling double-OT win vs. Colgate. The schools will meet for the 69th time as Lehigh holds a 38-30 all-time edge over Bucknell including nine straight where Lehigh's average margin of victory is 14 points.

Lehigh Athletics Ticket Office completes move to Stabler Arena
Effective January 11 and communicated via the Lehigh daily digest, the Athletics Ticket Office will be permanently located at Stabler Arena. The Stabler Arena ticket office staff and Athletics ticket office staff are now fully integrated as part of the Athletics Business Services team.

Lehigh beats Colgate 85-82 in double-OT thriller
In a game that featured 14 ties and 13 lead changes, the Lehigh women’s basketball team (9-8, 2-1 PL) came out on top in a double-overtime thriller to beat Colgate (4-14, 1-2 PL) 85-82 Saturday. Freshman Katie O’Reilly had the game-winning layup with 24 seconds left and senior Alexa Williams came up with a block on the other end to seal Lehigh’s 13th straight victory over the Raiders.

Lehigh looks to rebound vs. Colgate Saturday
After falling short at American Wednesday, the Lehigh women’s basketball team (8-8, 1-1 PL) returns home and will look to rebound against Colgate (4-13, 1-1 PL) Saturday at 2 p.m. It will be the 52nd meeting between the schools as Lehigh holds the 30-21 all-time edge including 12 straight wins over the Raiders. Lehigh is 6-2 at home this year where its average margin of victory is 15 points.

Lehigh falls short 55-49 at American Wednesday
The Lehigh women’s basketball team (8-8, 1-1 PL) cut the deficit to two with 4:52 left in the game, but couldn’t get over the hump as Lehigh fell 55-49 to American (10-6, 2-0 PL) Wednesday. Eight Mountain Hawks scored as senior Emily Gratch led the way with 11 points while senior Alexa Williams had her fourth double-double of the year with 10 points and 13 rebounds and added four steals.

Lehigh travels to face American Wednesday
The Lehigh women’s basketball team will look for its second straight Patriot League win as the Mountain Hawks travel to take on American Wednesday at 7 p.m. Lehigh is 6-1 in its last seven games as the Mountain Hawks are coming off a 75-60 win over Holy Cross Saturday. Lehigh will look to keep the momentum going while avenging last year’s 69-64 Patriot League Semifinal overtime loss to American.

Weaver leads Lehigh to 75-60 win over Holy Cross
Sophomore Hilary Weaver had a career-high 20 points as the Lehigh women’s basketball team won its Patriot League opener defeating Holy Cross 75-60 on Saturday. Lehigh shot a season high 47.4 percent from the field and 53.8 percent from three. Weaver was one of three Mountain Hawks in double figures as senior Alexa Williams added 14 points and eight rebounds while senior Aly Byorick had 11 points.

Lehigh hosts Holy Cross Saturday to begin League play
The Lehigh women’s basketball team has won six of its last eight games and it will look to keep its winning ways going against Holy Cross Saturday at 2 p.m. to kick off Patriot League play. Lehigh – the three-time defending Patriot League regular season champion – has won seven straight games vs. Holy Cross as the Mountain Hawks cap off a six-game home stand in which they are 4-1.

Lehigh women’s basketball visits local elementary schools
The Lehigh women’s basketball team visited two local elementary schools over the past two days as the Mountain Hawks continue their efforts to reach out to the community. Lehigh visited Asa Packer Elementary School on Tuesday followed by Farmersville Elementary on Wednesday. At each visit, Lehigh stressed the importance of being a team and what it takes to be successful on and off the court.
