Williams earns First Team All-Patriot League honors
Lehigh women’s basketball senior forward Alexa Williams was named to the First Team All-Patriot League, announced Tuesday. The Warren, Ohio native leads the team in scoring, rebounding, steals and blocks. Her 8.9 rebounds rank #1 in the league while her 12.5 points rank #6. Williams was named the league's Player of the Week twice this season as she is having a career year in the Brown and White.

Peterson named to Academic All-Patriot League Team
Lehigh women’s basketball junior guard Kelly Peterson was named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, announced Tuesday. The Concord, Calif. native is an economics major with a 3.89 GPA. Williams is not only excelling in the classroom, but on the court as well, ending the regular season ranked #4 in the league in three’s per game (1.8) and #8 in three-point field goal percentage (33.9%).

Lehigh clinches second seed with 56-47 win over Army
The Lehigh women’s basketball team broke open a 21-21 halftime deadlock with a strong second half to down Army, 56-47, on Saturday night. The win clinches the #2 seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament and home court advantage through the semifinals. The Mountain Hawks will host seventh-seeded Bucknell in the quarterfinals Thursday night.

Lehigh hosts Army Saturday in Play 4 Kay game
With a quarterfinal game already clinched, Lehigh will look to secure the #2 seed in the Patriot League Tournament Saturday vs. Army at 7:30 p.m. in the regular season finale. It will be Lehigh's senior night as well as its Play 4 Kay game in which Lehigh will raise funds and awareness in the fight against breast cancer. Money raised will be donated and presented in remembrance of Debbie Pearsall.

Lehigh holds on late for 57-48 win over Navy
The Lehigh women’s basketball team never trailed against Navy Wednesday en route to a 57-48 victory. With the win, Lehigh clinched at least a #3 seed in the Patriot League Tournament and guaranteed the Mountain Hawks a home quarterfinal game. Lehigh was led by senior Alexa Williams’ double-double of 13 points and season-high 14 rebounds while junior Kelly Peterson added a game-high 14 points.

PL Tournament seeding at stake as Lehigh hosts Navy
The Lehigh women’s basketball team (14-12, 7-5 PL) currently sits in a three-way tie for second place. One of those teams is Navy (14-12, 7-5 PL) which the Mountain Hawks will host Wednesday at 7 p.m. in a game that will certainly have Patriot League Tournament seeding implications. A Lehigh win and it guarantees itself at least a #4 seed and a quarterfinal home game in the tournament.

Lehigh rides big first half to beat Lafayette 57-47
The Lehigh women’s basketball team shot 50 percent in the first half to build up a 17-point lead en route to a 57-47 win over rival Lafayette Saturday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks were led by junior Kelly Peterson’s career-high 19 points while senior Emily Gratch added 13 points. The win snapped Lehigh’s three-game skid as the Mountain Hawks sweep the season series vs. the Leopards.

Lehigh looks for season sweep of Lafayette Saturday
The Lehigh women’s basketball team has dropped three straight games and four of its last five, but will look to turn things around at Lafayette Saturday at noon. It will be the 81st meeting between the rivals as Lehigh has won nine of the last 10 with a 14-point average margin of victory. Lehigh won the first meeting this season 68-55 as the Mountain Hawks look for the season sweep.

Lehigh's late rally falls short 62-56 vs. Bucknell
Lehigh, which trailed by as many as 19 points halfway through the second half, went on a 21-5 run to cut the deficit to three with 33 seconds left but couldn’t complete the comeback as the Mountain Hawks fell short 62-56 vs. Bucknell Wednesday. Lehigh had three players in double figures, led by 12 points from junior Kelly Peterson while senior Emily Gratch and freshman Sarah Williams had 11 each.

Lehigh looks to halt skid vs. Bucknell Wednesday
Lehigh has fallen in consecutive games for the first time since late November but will look to turn things around Wednesday as Lehigh hosts Bucknell at 7 p.m. Coming off a tough loss at Colgate, Lehigh will look for its 11th straight win over the Bison and its fifth straight season sweep of Bucknell. Lehigh is tied for third place as it hopes to stay alive for a crucial top four Championship seed.

Lehigh’s comeback falls short 77-71 at Colgate Saturday
After trailing by as many as 16 points, the Lehigh women’s basketball team cut the deficit to three with 2:20 left in the game but were unable to get over the hump as Lehigh fell 77-71 at Colgate Saturday. Lehigh was led by a career-high 27 points from senior Alexa Williams while senior Emily Gratch had a season-high 22 points as the duo combined to go 17-of-23 from the floor.

Lehigh looks to rebound at Colgate Saturday
After suffering a tough loss Wednesday, the Lehigh women’s basketball team will look to rebound Saturday at Colgate with tip set for 4 p.m. Lehigh won the first meeting in a thrilling double-overtime game as Lehigh will be looking for their 14th straight victory over Colgate. The game will be televised on Time Warner Cable Sports, shown live in Central and Northern N.Y. and the Binghamton area.

Lehigh falls 67-50 to American Wednesday
Seniors Alexa Williams and Emily Gratch combined for 29 points on 10-of-18 shooting, but it wasn’t enough as the Lehigh women’s basketball team (13-10, 6-3 PL) fell 67-50 to American (17-6, 9-0 PL) Wednesday. Williams led the way with 16 points and eight rebounds while Gratch added 13 points and tied her season-high of 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.

Lehigh hosts American for crucial game Wednesday
After three straight road games, the Lehigh women’s basketball team will return home to host American Wednesday at 7 p.m. Lehigh is in sole possession of second place in the Patriot League, maintaining a one-game lead over a pair of teams and will look to pull within one game of first-place American. Lehigh will also look for a season-series split after falling to the Eagles in January.

Williams earns second PL Player of the Week award
For the second time this season and of her career, Lehigh women’s basketball senior Alexa Williams has been named the Patriot League Female Player of the Week, as announced by the league Monday. Williams tied her career high with 23 points in a 75-73 comeback victory at Holy Cross Saturday as the Warren, Ohio native also set career highs in field goals made (10) and attempted (15).

Lehigh uses 15-0 run to defeat Holy Cross, 75-73
The Lehigh women’s basketball team went on a 15-0 run over the final 5:29 to defeat Holy Cross 75-73 Saturday. Junior Kelly Peterson hit the game-winning three to cap off the run as Lehigh held the Crusaders without a field goal for the final 6:40. Senior Alexa Williams tied a career high with 23 points while senior Emily Gratch finished with 18 points, surpassing the 1,000 point career milestone.

Lehigh starts second half of league play at Holy Cross Saturday
The Lehigh women’s basketball team will kick off the second half of Patriot League play Saturday at 1 p.m. at Holy Cross. The Mountain Hawks currently sit in second place, just one game ahead of the Crusaders who are in a three-way tie for third. Lehigh defeated Holy Cross in the league opener as the Mountain Hawks are looking for their fourth straight season sweep of the Crusaders.

Lehigh's comeback falls just short 66-64 at Army
The Lehigh women’s basketball team overcame an 18-point second-half deficit to tie the game with 5:11 left and had a chance to tie or win the game at the end of regulation, but fell short 66-64 at Army Sunday. It was the second straight game in which Lehigh came back from at least a 16-point deficit. Four Mountain Hawks finished in double figures, led by senior Emily Gratch’s 16 points.

Lehigh hits League halfway point at Army Sunday
The Lehigh women’s basketball team (12-8, 5-1 PL) has won four straight Patriot League games and will look to keep the winning streak going Sunday when the Mountain Hawks travel to face Army (9-12, 3-3 PL) at 1:00 p.m. The game will mark the halfway point in League play as the Mountain Hawks sit in sole possession of second place, two games ahead of the Black Knights who are tied for fourth.

Mountain Hawks storm back for big 50-46 win over Navy
Trailing 33-17 at halftime, the Lehigh women’s basketball team (12-8, 5-1 PL) shot 52 percent in the second half and held Navy (10-10, 3-3 PL) to 13 second-half points as the Mountain Hawks defeated the Midshipmen 50-46 Wednesday. Lehigh used a 14-0 run to get back in the game as it was paced by senior Emily Gratch and junior Kelly Peterson who combined for 22 second-half points.
