Lehigh falls in five sets to Bucknell
After dropping the first two sets to the Bison, the Lehigh volleyball team showed resiliency as it battled back to force a fifth and deciding set, but was unable to finish off the comeback as Bucknell earned the match, 3-2. The Mountain Hawks played to a hard-fought loss, but must now regroup as the team will be back in action tomorrow night when they travel to Hamilton, N.Y. to take on the Raiders of Colgate.

Lehigh begins second half of PL play with Bucknell and Colgate
On the heels of a straight-set victory at Holy Cross, the Lehigh volleyball team will conclude an eight-game road trip with a pair of Patriot League tilts this weekend beginning with Bucknell on Friday night, followed by a Saturday showdown with Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y. This weekend will begin the Mountain Hawks’ second half stretch as they are half way through their Patriot League schedule with seven league games remaining before the Tournament field will be set for postseason play.

Mountain Hawks sweep Crusaders for their fourth Patriot League victory
In its seventh Patriot League match of the season, the Lehigh volleyball team toppled Holy Cross on Saturday afternoon in straight sets to improve to 4-3 in league play. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Crusaders for the ninth-straight match between the two teams, and the sweep was the fifth-consecutive straight set victory over Holy Cross. Lehigh earned a split of the weekend’s games after suffering a loss last night at the hands of the Black Knights of Army.

Mountain Hawks fall in straight sets to Black Knights
Though the Mountain Hawks put forth a tough effort and resilient attitude, the Lehigh volleyball team was swept in straight sets by the Black Knights of Army on Friday night. Lehigh battled back in each set, but Army was too much, as the Black Knights were able to close out the Mountain Hawks and end each comeback attempt. Lehigh will now travel to Massachusetts to take on Holy Cross in another Patriot League duel tomorrow evening.

Lehigh starts four-game Patriot League stretch with trips to Army and Holy Cross
Reeling from a 3-1 loss to Big East-foe Villanova on Tuesday night, the Lehigh volleyball team will be searching to get back in the win column when the Mountain Hawks travel to West Point, N.Y. and Worcester, Mass. this weekend for a couple of crucial Patriot League match-ups against Army and Holy Cross. Lehigh is 3-1 in its last four Patriot League matches and the Mountain Hawks will look to continue that success as nine of their last 10 games will be against Patriot League opponents.

Mountain Hawks drop to Villanova, 3-1, despite multiple rallies
The Mountain Hawks battled back against the Wildcats all night, but Villanova was too much as the Lehigh volleyball team fell to the Wildcats on Tuesday evening, 3-1. The Wildcats snapped Lehigh’s two-match winning streak as the Big East-foe withstood the resiliency of the Mountain Hawks in each match. Lehigh will now return to Patriot League play on Friday night against the Army Black Knights.

Lehigh travels to Nova for showdown with Wildcats
After an impressive win in a hostile environment at Lafayette, the Lehigh volleyball team will travel to Villanova to take on the Wildcats in a non-league match against the Big East-foe on Tuesday night. The Mountain Hawks will be searching to avenge a 3-0 loss to Villanova in 2010, the last time the two teams matched-up against each other. Lehigh trails in the all-time series against Nova, 6-23, with its last win against the Wildcats coming in 1985.

Mountain Hawks sweep rival Leopards in Easton
For the sixth-consecutive match between the two teams, the Lehigh volleyball team defeated the rival Lafayette Leopards, this time in straight sets, for its third Patriot League victory of the season. The Mountain Hawks powered through a hostile environment as they have now won two-of-three games at the start of their eight-game road trip. Junior Amanda Clark knocked down 11 kills as the Lehigh offense never halted en route to a second-consecutive sweep of the Leopards.

The rivalry continues: Lehigh travels to Lafayette
After knocking off American in Washington, D.C. for the first time, the Lehigh volleyball team will set its sights on rival Lafayette for a Thursday night showdown with the Leopards. The Mountain Hawks will be in search of their third Patriot League victory as they will renew the rivalry for the 77th time inside Kirby Sports Center at 7:30 p.m.

Lehigh drops American in five sets, 3-2
A year after handing the Eagles their only Patriot League loss of the season, the Lehigh volleyball team earned a win in hostile territory as the Mountain Hawks prevailed in five sets over American for their second Patriot League victory of the season. The win marks the first time Lehigh has ever won in Washington, D.C. and just the fourth time the Mountain Hawks have been able to beat the Eagles in program history.

Lehigh falls to Navy in a thrilling five set match
After taking a two-set advantage to start the match, the Lehigh volleyball team dropped a heartbreaking five-set duel with Navy, 3-2. The Mids reeled off three consecutive sets including a 17-15 set five win to seal a Patriot League victory. The Mountain Hawks will now travel to American for another Patriot League game Saturday.

Lehigh to play two Patriot League games this weekend
Fresh off its first Patriot League victory of 2012, the Lehigh volleyball team will start an eight-game road trip that includes seven Patriot League battles beginning with Navy on Friday night, followed by a Saturday afternoon showcase with American. The Mountain Hawks swept the season series against Navy last year by scores of 3-0 and split with American, handing the Eagles their only Patriot League loss throughout the year.

Lehigh earns Patriot League victory over Bucknell, 3-1
In front of a rocking crowd at Leeman-Turner Arena, the Lehigh volleyball team earned its first Patriot League victory of 2012 over the Bison of Bucknell, 3-1. After dropping the first set, Lehigh rallied and spun off three set wins to take the match and a valuable Patriot League victory. Junior Amanda Clark starred for the Mountain Hawks, leading the attack with a game-high 16 kills on the night.

Lehigh falls to Colgate in Patriot League opener, 3-0
The Lehigh women’s volleyball team dropped its Patriot League opener to Colgate on Friday night in straight sets, 3-0. Junior Lizzy Silverstein led the Mountain Hawk attack for the second straight match with eight kills on the night. The Mountain Hawks will continue league play tomorrow evening when the Bison of Bucknell will be welcomed into Leeman-Turner Arena inside Grace Hall.

Lehigh knocks off Princeton, 3-2, for second road win of season
In its final tune-up before Patriot League play, the Lehigh volleyball team took the Princeton Tigers to five sets before the Mountain Hawks were able to take the deciding fifth set and the match for their third win of the season and second on the road. Junior Lizzy Silverstein collected a season-high 12 kills on the night to lead Lehigh to a victory over the Tigers for the second year in-a-row.

Mountain Hawks set continue road trip at Princeton
The Lehigh volleyball team will hit the road for its fourth straight game away from Bethlehem as the Mountain Hawks will travel to Princeton, N.J. to take on the Tigers at 7 p.m. Lehigh will be the first team welcomed into Dillon Gymnasium on the Princeton campus this season and will face-off against a 3-6 Princeton squad that has dropped two straight matches.

Lehigh drops doubleheader on Saturday to No. 3 USC and TCU
The Lehigh volleyball team dropped both of its games on Saturday, first to No. 3 Southern California (USC) before falling to host Texas Christian (TCU) in a Saturday night showdown. In the afternoon, the Mountain Hawks fell to the nationally-ranked Women of Troy in straight sets before losing to TCU in the nightcap, 3-0.

Lehigh sweeps opener of TCU Molten Invitational
The Lehigh volleyball team knocked off Prairie View A&M on Friday night in straight sets to open the TCU Molten Invitational Tournament. Senior Taylor Poole and junior Amanda Clark each recorded 10 kills in the match to help Lehigh to its second win of the season. The Mountain Hawks did not allow the Panthers to take a lead in either of the first two matches, winning 25-19 in both before taking the third set battle, 25-23.

Lehigh travels deep into the heart of Texas
Fresh off a heartbreaking defeat against Rutgers on Tuesday night, the Lehigh volleyball team will travel to Fort Worth, Texas to compete in the TCU Molten Invitational Tournament beginning Friday at 5:30 p.m. with a duel against the Prairie View A&M Panthers. The Mountain Hawks will also be tasked with facing off against premiere talent including nationally-ranked Southern California (No.3) and a tough Texas Christian (TCU) squad that has won nine consecutive matches.
