BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh totaled 26 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Rolls for men’s and women’s swimming and diving announced by the league on Wednesday.  Senior Liz Murray topped the Mountain Hawks with an impressive 4.0 grade point average in journalism, one of nine women and 19 swimming and diving student-athletes overall to earn at least a 4.0 GPA.  To be eligible for the honor roll, a student-athlete must obtain at least a 3.2 GPA and participate in one of the Patriot League’s winter or spring championship sports.

Murray led the group of 13 Mountain Hawk women who were named to the honor roll.  Right behind Murray was sophomore Alyssa Siano and junior Taylor Foxworth who earned grade point averages of 3.92 and 3.90 respectively.  Ten of the 13 women named to the honor roll posted GPAs above 3.50.

The Lehigh men also had 13 honor roll selections. The Mountain Hawks were led by sophomore Jared Blacker with a 3.94 GPA, majoring in business.  Just behind Blacker was freshman Will Dearden who posted a 3.92 GPA in the College of Arts and Sciences. Eight of Lehigh’s 13 men’s honor roll selections eclipsed the 3.50 mark.

In all 210 student athletes, 110 women and 100 men, were named to the honor roll.  Earlier this year the league announced its swimming and diving Scholar-Athletes of the year.  Bucknell swimmers collected both awards as Courtney Warren won the women’s award, and Daniel Fletcher was named men’s Scholar-Athlete of the year.
