Lehigh's WLVR-FM to air softball broadcasts live

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – As the Lehigh softball team prepares for a run at its fourth Patriot League title in the last five years, Lehigh Athletics and WLVR-FM (91.3) have teamed up to announce that Lehigh’s Patriot League tournament games will be broadcast live on local radio for the first time. Broadcast coverage will begin 15 minutes prior to each game, and will include interviews with Lehigh head coach Fran Troyan as well as Lehigh student-athletes.
Steve Lomangino and Jeff Tourial will call the games on WLVR, Lehigh University’s radio station. The duo has over a decade of combined experience broadcasting Lehigh softball – including all Lehigh post-season games since 2005.
All Lehigh softball games on WLVR-FM can also be heard both live and on-demand through Lehighsports.com, with streaming provided by Yahoo! Sports. A nominal monthly access fee of $4.95 is required to listen to the broadcasts on-line.
Coverage of the 2008 Patriot League softball tournament gets underway on Thursday, May 8, when top-seed Lehigh hosts No. 4 Army at Kaufman Field. Radio and Internet broadcast coverage begins at 1:45 p.m. EDT on WLVR-FM (91.3) and Lehighsports.com with The Fran Troyan Report.
