Lehigh hosts Harvard in battle of defending Patriot League, Ivy League champions
Coming off of a doubleheader sweep of Penn on Wednesday, Lehigh continues its home stand with a four-game series against Harvard in a battle of last year’s Patriot League and Ivy League Champions Saturday and Sunday at Kaufman Field.

Strong pitching, timely hitting lead Lehigh to DH sweep of Penn
Powered by a pair of outstanding pitching performances and some timely hitting, Lehigh opened its home schedule by sweeping a doubleheader from Penn Wednesday at Kaufman Field. Freshman Emily Bausher pitched her second consecutive one-hitter as the Mountain Hawks took game one 3-0, then junior Becca Bliss fired a four-hit shutout as Lehigh captured the nightcap 2-0.

Mountain Hawks welcome Penn Wednesday for home opener
Coming off of a 1-3 showing at the Radford Invitational this past weekend, the Mountain Hawks are set to open their home schedule Wednesday as they host the Penn Quakers for an afternoon doubleheader. First pitch for game one is slated for 2:30 p.m. from Kaufman Field. The Mountain Hawks (9-11) were competitive in all four games in Virginia, but only came away with one win, a 6-0 shutout of Binghamton on Sunday.

Colquhoun, Bausher once again recognized by Patriot League
Two Mountain Hawks have earned weekly Patriot League awards for their performances at the Radford Invitational, as announced by the league Monday. Senior Jen Colquhoun received her second straight Player of the Week award, while freshman Emily Bausher earned Rookie of the Week honors. Fellow freshman Cassie Waggy won the Rookie of the Week award last week, giving Lehigh back-to-back winners in both categories.

Bausher gem, four home runs propel Lehigh to split on final day in Virginia
Freshman Emily Bausher fired a one-hitter and added a career-high 15 strikeouts to lead Lehigh to a 6-0 win over Binghamton on the final day of the Radford Invitational. The Mountain Hawks had to settle for a Sunday split as they fell to the host Highlanders 4-3 in the nightcap. Senior Jen Colquhoun belted two-run home runs in both games as Lehigh moves to 9-11 on the season.

Softball drops pair on day one of Radford Invitational
In its first game action in ten days, Lehigh suffered a pair of tough losses on day one of the Radford Invitational Saturday at RU Softball Field. A seventh-inning rally fell just short as the Mountain Hawks dropped their first game of the day, 5-4 to Binghamton, while Lehigh was limited to five hits in a 3-0 loss to host Radford in the nightcap. The Mountain Hawks are now 8-10 on the season.

Mountain Hawks head to Virginia for Radford Invitational
The Lehigh softball team will play four games this weekend at the Radford Invitational in Radford, Virginia. The Mountain Hawks will play two games apiece against Binghamton and Radford in the three-team, two-day tournament.

Colquhoun, Waggy receive Patriot League weekly honors
The Lehigh softball team bounced back from a tough opening weekend by winning seven of ten games on its Spring Break trip to Florida. On Monday, senior shortstop Jen Colquhoun and freshman Cassie Waggy were recognized with Patriot League weekly awards for their efforts in the final eight games of Lehigh’s trip. Colquhoun was named the league’s Player of the Week, while Waggy earned Rookie of the Week laurels.

Lehigh downs Manhattan, falls to Yale on final day at Rebel Games
On its final day of action in Florida, Lehigh split a pair of contests at the Rebel Spring Games. Sophomore Ashley Quigley recorded 11 strikeouts as Lehigh downed Manhattan 6-3 in Friday’s first game, but Yale scored an unearned run in the bottom of the seventh to defeat the Mountain Hawks 4-3 in game two. After a 7-3 showing at the Rebel Spring Games, Lehigh is now 8-8 on the season.

Mountain Hawks return to action with Thursday split in Florida
After a day off Wednesday the Lehigh softball team returned to the diamond Thursday splitting a pair of contests at the Rebel Spring Games. The Mountain Hawks downed Florida A&M 6-1 to run their win streak to six, but saw that streak come to an end with a 3-2 loss to Detroit in the second game of the day. Lehigh is now 7-7 with two games remaining in its Florida trip.

Win streak reaches five as Lehigh takes two Tuesday in Florida
The Lehigh softball team extended its winning streak to five straight with a pair of wins Tuesday at the Rebel Spring Games. The Mountain Hawks received a pair of strong starting pitching performances in an 8-3 win over Saint Francis (Pa.) and a 2-1 victory over Detroit. Lehigh is now 5-1 on its Florida trip and has evened its season record at 6-6.

Bausher named Patriot League Pitcher and Rookie of the Week
One day after no-hitting South Dakota for her first career win, Lehigh freshman Emily Bausher captured two of the three Patriot League softball awards announced Monday. Bausher was named Patriot League Pitcher and Rookie of the Week after her brilliant pitching performance, which helped Lehigh to a Sunday split at the Rebel Spring Games.

Lehigh rides Bliss' gem and strong offensive day to Monday sweep
The Lehigh offense posted 19 runs on 30 hits as the Mountain Hawks extended their winning streak to three with a pair of wins Monday at the Rebel Spring Games. Junior Rebecca Bliss fired a one-hit shutout as Lehigh downed Sacred Heart 7-0 in its first game of the day, while the Mountain Hawks erased an early 5-0 deficit with 12 unanswered runs in a 12-5 triumph over South Dakota.

Bausher's no-hitter paces Lehigh on first day of Florida trip
Lehigh opened up action at the Rebel Spring Games by splitting a pair of games Sunday afternoon. The Mountain Hawks dropped their first game of the day 5-3 to Indiana State but bounced back in game two as freshman Emily Bausher tossed a no-hitter and struck out 12 in a 4-0 Lehigh win. With the split Lehigh moves to 2-6 on the season.

Mountain Hawks look to get back on track at Rebel Spring Games
After a slow start to its season, Lehigh will look to turn the corner over Spring Break as the Mountain will play ten games over a six-day span at the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida. The team’s opponents include Indiana State, South Dakota, Sacred Heart, St. Francis (Pa.), Detroit Mercy, Florida A&M, Manhattan, and Yale.

Lehigh drops another heartbreaker in Wolfpack Challenge finale
The Lehigh softball team suffered another tough loss on the final day of the Wolfpack Challenge as the Mountain Hawks let a 2-0 lead get away in a 4-3, eight inning loss to Georgetown Sunday at Dail Stadium. The two teams combined for four home runs, but Georgetown’s Mackensey Carter tied the game with a two-run blast in the sixth, and Shikara Lowe put the Hoyas ahead with a two-run shot in the eighth.

Lehigh downs Toledo 4-1 for first win of season
Junior Kristen Mitchell drove in a pair of runs and sophomore Ashley Quigley struck out seven in a complete-game effort as Lehigh picked up its first win of the season, 4-1 over Toledo Saturday at the Wolfpack Challenge at Dail Stadium. The Mountain Hawks let a 5-0 lead get away in a 6-5 loss to Pittsburgh Saturday morning, but with the win, Lehigh improves to 1-4 on the season.

Mountain Hawks drop two at Wolfpack Challenge
The Lehigh softball team fell to 0-3 in its season-opening trip to North Carolina with a pair of losses Friday at the Wolfpack Challenge. The Mountain Hawks dropped their first game of the day to Kent State by a 9-2 score before falling 4-2 to Pittsburgh in an eight-inning heartbreaker in the nightcap.

NC State rallies past Mountain Hawks to spoil season opener
Lehigh led North Carolina State 2-1 in its season opener but the Wolfpack scored five runs in their final two at-bats to rally for a 6-2 win Thursday at Dail Softball Stadium. Senior Jen Colquhoun had three hits to pace the Mountain Hawks, but a sacrifice fly by Scout Albertson in the fifth inning put NC State in front for good.
