Rowing walk on meetings set for Aug. 29 and 31

Posted: 08/26/2011
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Have an interest in competing for a Division I Varsity Program? The Lehigh rowing team will be holding a pair of informational meetings, next Monday (Aug. 29) and Wednesday (Aug. 31) at 6 p.m. for perspective women’s and men’s walk-ons. The meetings will take place at the Sherman Fairchild Center (Lewis Labs) Room 270.

The Lehigh rowing program boasts one of the largest rosters on campus and has sent three members on to national teams, for both the United States and UK. It’s a great opportunity to learn to row, get abs and win medals.

No experience is required. Rowing actually boasts the largest number of Olympic athletes with the overwhelming majority learning to row in college as walk-ons.

Questions will be answered at the meeting, but for any other inquiries prior to the meeting, please contact assistant coach James Harding at 610-758-6614 or jah510@lehigh.edu.

Sherman Fairchild Center (Lewis Labs) is right across the street from Taylor Gym, number 16 on this Lehigh campus map.
