WHY LEHIGH? “I liked the campus a lot. I’m from a small town in a rural area. I wanted to expand my horizons without feeling like I’d be swallowed up in a crowd of thousands of people. Lehigh is the perfect size and I love that all the students seem to share my ambition and goals. We all have a lot in common, but at the same time, each individual brings something unique to the community. It’s never boring. I don’t do boring.”
ON THE COACHING STAFF: “They all want us to set AND achieve high goals and are with us every step of the way to make it happen. It’s a new staff and I’m excited to be a part of the new team that they are building. With their support, I’m confident that we are going to achieve great things.”
BEFORE LEHIGH: Member of the National Honor Society … Part of the Distinguished Honor Role … Was the Cross Country MVP and team captain.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Robert and Kim Smith … Has two brothers: Benjamin and Nicholas … Lists her dad as her most admired person and Jordan Jenkins as her favorite athlete.
