BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh women’s Rower Jackie Ogden was honored as an All-Patriot League selection for the second year in a row on Thursday. The Junior captain earned a spot as a second team honoree after being part of the Varsity Eight Boat that won the Frostbite Regatta, Braxton Regatta, Neuweiler Plate, and Lehigh River Cup.

Ogden is a two time captain for the Mountain Hawks, as she has earned numerous accolades over her career. She was an All-Patriot League selection in 2010, the recipient of the 2009-10 Lehigh Most Valuable Rower Award, and a two year Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member.

Bucknell topped the All-Patriot League selections after winning its sixth straight League Championship. In total they had seven athletes that were All-League selections, with four of them being first teamers. The Bison’s Varsity Eight Boat was the Boat of the Year, and their Coach Stephen Kish garnered Coach of the Year honors.

The Lehigh women’s rowing team put together a solid effort in the Patriot League Championships on Sunday, finishing in sixth place while nearly doubling its point-total from a year ago. The Mountain Hawks garnered 10 points on the day, improving by four from last season. Lehigh was led by its Second Varsity Eight, which posted a fourth-place finish.

Both the Lehigh men’s and women’s rowing squads return to action on May 13 when they compete in the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia.
