BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh junior Jackie Ogden has been named to the first-ever Academic All-Patriot League Rowing Team, as announced on Tuesday. The latest honor comes a week after being named to her second straight All-Patriot League Team for her success on the water. Ogden is one of only four student-athletes named to both squads.
To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.
Ogden continues to be a key part of the Mountain Hawks’ Varsity Eight boat, which has won the Frostbite Regatta, Braxton Regatta, Neuweiler Plate and Lehigh River Cup this season. In the classroom, she owns a stellar 3.87 GPA as a Supply Chain Management major. That includes multiple 4.0 terms. She is a steady member of the Dean’s List and also a winner of the Lehigh Faculty Athletics Council Award.
A team captain and two-time All-Patriot League honoree, Ogden is very active in the leadership realm as a captain of LU Team Leadership. She is also a part of the department’s Emerging Leaders program.
