The Lehigh women’s rowing team wrapped up its season at the Patriot League Championships Friday morning, finishing in sixth place with eight points on the day. The Mountain Hawks came in fifth in the Second Varsity Eight and placed sixth in the Varsity Four and Varsity Eight.
The Lehigh women’s rowing team will wrap up its season on Friday when it heads to Worcester, Mass. for the Patriot League Championships on Lake Quinsigamond. The Mountain Hawks look to carry the moment from a successful Dad Vail Regatta and continue their improvement while competing for a Patriot League Title.
The Lehigh rowing team wrapped up a highly successful Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday with two freshmen crews making the finals including a third-place, bronze medal finish by the Women’s Freshmen Eight. In total, six of the Mountain Hawks’ crews competed in the semifinals on Saturday. Lehigh was the only school to have the Women’s Freshmen Four and Freshmen Eight in the grand finals.
Six of the eight crews from Lehigh rowing advanced to Saturday’s Semifinals in a highly successful day one at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta Friday. The six semifinalists are more than last season as the Mountain Hawks continue to show tremendous improvement. Saturday’s Finals will be broadcast live on 6ABC in Philadelphia and online on ESPN3.com.
Following a week off, the Lehigh rowing team returns to action at one of the nation’s most prestigious regattas as the Mountain Hawks head to Philadelphia to compete in the Dad Vail Regatta. The two-day event runs Friday and Saturday. Lehigh is coming off an impressive showing against Lafayette to capture the River Cup once again.
