Three Mountain Hawks to begin run at national titles
Lehigh’s men’s track and field team will have three athletes battling for All-American status at the NCAA East Regional, which begins Thursday in Greensboro, N.C. Senior Devin Monroe will sprint in the 400 meter dash while sophomore Adeolu Adesida and junior captain Pat Ciez will compete in the high jump it was announced May 16.

Lehigh sending five athletes to first round of NCAA Championships
Five athletes from Lehigh’s men’s and women’s track and field teams will be competing at the NCAA East Regional, which begins Thursday in Greensboro, N.C. Senior Devin Monroe will sprint in the 400 meter dash to represent the men’s team along with high jump competitors sophomore Adeolu Adesida and junior captain Pat Ciez. Five Mountain Hawks heading to NCAA East Regional
Lehigh’s track and field teams will be sending five athletes to compete at the NCAA East Regional from May 23-25 in Greensboro, N.C. Senior Devin Monroe will run in the first round of the 400 meter dash, while junior Pat Ciez and sophomore Adeolu Adesida have earned spots in the high jump. On the women’s side, junior Jimil Ataman and senior E’lana Lemon will represent the Brown and White in the hammer throw at North Carolina A&T’s Irwin Belk Track.

Beauchamp named to Academic All-Patriot League Team
Lehigh track and field junior Benjamin Beauchamp was selected as one of 10 members of the Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league announced Monday. The Electrical Engineering major from Spencer, N.Y., earned the distinction for the first time in his career after holding a 3.88 cumulative grade-point average.

Astor shatters own record, sprinters perform well at outdoor regional championships
Lehigh’s women’s and men’s track and field teams followed up the Patriot League Outdoor Championships by sending 19 athletes to compete at the ECAC and IC4A Championships in Princeton, N.J. The women’s team had five competitors across three events at the regional meet, which lasted from Friday to Sunday. The men were represented by 14 athletes in 10 different events.

Following their impressive performances at the Outdoor Patriot League Championships, the Lehigh men’s and women’s track and field teams will be competing at the IC4A and ECAC Championships on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Princeton, N.J. The men’s team will have 14 representatives at the IC4A meet while the women will send five athletes to ECAC competition.

Lehigh to go after more qualifying times at two weekend invites
The Lehigh men’s and women’s track and field teams will split themselves between multiple meets for the third time in the last four weeks. Some athletes will return to Moravian for the second consecutive week to compete in the Greyhound Invitational, while others will participate in the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, N.J. Both meets are scheduled for Friday and Saturday and no team scores will be kept at either one.

Lehigh registers six regional qualifiers at Moravian and Bucknell meets
Fresh off their dual meet at rival Lafayette last weekend, the Lehigh men’s track and field team headed to Moravian and Bucknell for the Pollard Invite and Bison Outdoor Classic this weekend. A meet record fell at the Pollard Invite, a new school record was set at Bucknell and six athletes qualified for the IC4A Championships after both meets had concluded.

After competing at three different meets last week, the Lehigh men’s and women’s track and field teams will be competing in their annual outdoor dual meet at Lafayette scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Easton, Pa. The men’s team has won four out of its last five duals against the rival Leopards dating back to both indoor and outdoor competitions.

The Lehigh men’s track and field team was picked to finish fourth in the Patriot League’s preseason poll released Monday. The Mountain Hawks racked up 62 points to finish behind Navy (92), Bucknell (90) and Army (76). Lafayette (50), American (31), Colgate (29) and Holy Cross (18) rounded out the bottom four.

Mountain Hawks conclude indoor season at ECAC/IC4A Championships
Four school records were broken and three individuals garnered All-East recognition as the Lehigh track and field teams concluded their indoor seasons at the ECAC/IC4A Championships, which wrapped up Sunday at Boston University. Mountain Hawks gear up for ECAC/IC4A Championships
Nineteen men and 11 women on the Lehigh track and field teams will travel to Boston this weekend for the IC4A and ECAC Championships, hoping to end their indoor seasons on a high note. The select athletes qualified based on predetermined standards and will be competing against the best of the best from Division I schools in the northeast. Two student-athletes from the Lehigh track and field programs were named to the Academic All-Patriot League teams for indoor track and field, announced Tuesday. Senior Lauren Pietrosh was named to the women’s Academic All-League team for the second straight year, while junior Paul Ciavardelli represents the Lehigh men on the team.

The women won the event yet again behind senior Julia Perry and junior Brooke Astor who were named athletes of the meet. The Lehigh men’s and women’s track and field teams finished fourth at the Army six-way meet on Saturday. The men scored 98.50 points, while the women tallied 111, each good for fourth place. The women were highlighted by seniors E’Lana Lemon and Julia Perry who won the weight throw (17.66m) and 1000m (2:57.56), while the men were paced by Derek Gaul’s first place distance in the long jump (6.84m).

Lehigh to compete in West Point, N.Y. for first road meet
