Lehigh to open outdoor season Saturday at Philadelphia College Classic
The Lehigh men’s track and field team will begin its outdoor season by competing in the Philadelphia College Classic on Saturday at Penn. The Mountain Hawks will compete against Villanova, La Salle, Saint Joseph’s and Temple in addition to the host Quakers.

Mountain Hawks conclude indoor season at ECAC/IC4A Championships
Four school records were broken and three individuals garnered All-East recognition as the Lehigh track and field teams concluded their indoor seasons at the ECAC/IC4A Championships, which wrapped up Sunday at Boston University. Senior E’Lana Lemon, junior Jessica Kendzor and sophomore Derek Gaul all earned All-East honors, while the women’s 4x800 meter relay finished fifth overall.

Lehigh men set three school records at IC4A Championships
Three school records fell for the Lehigh men’s track and field teams as the Mountain Hawks competed at the IC4A Championships this weekend at Boston University. Two of the men’s relay teams established new program records during prelims on Saturday.

Mountain Hawks gear up for ECAC/IC4A Championships
Nineteen men and 11 women on the Lehigh track and field teams will travel to Boston this weekend for the IC4A and ECAC Championships, hoping to end their indoor seasons on a high note. The select athletes qualified based on predetermined standards and will be competing against the best of the best from Division I schools in the northeast. Both the men’s IC4A Championships and the women’s ECAC Championships will take place simultaneously at Boston University.

Ciavardelli, Pietrosh named to Academic All-League teams
Two student-athletes from the Lehigh track and field programs were named to the Academic All-Patriot League teams for indoor track and field, announced Tuesday. Senior Lauren Pietrosh was named to the women’s Academic All-League team for the second straight year, while junior Paul Ciavardelli represents the Lehigh men on the team.

Mountain Hawk men fourth once again at PL Championships
For the third straight year, the Lehigh men’s track and field team finished in fourth place at the Patriot League Indoor Championships, which wrapped-up Sunday at Army’s Gillis Field House. Senior Devin Monroe led the Mountain Hawks on the final day of competition, winning the 200 meter dash and placing third in the 400 meters.

Lehigh finishes day two at Patriot League Championships in second place
The Lehigh men’s track and field team finished the second day of competition at the Patriot League Championships in second place after collecting 33 points on the day. The Mountain Hawks picked up multiple top three performances, including a victory in the high jump by sophomore Adeolu Adesida, who set the Patriot League Championship record with a height 2.12m.

Men in third, women in second as Lehigh enters final day of PLC’s
The Lehigh men’s and women’s track and field teams will both enter the final day of the Patriot League Championships within striking distance of the leaders as the men’s team finished day two with 33 points, resting in third. The women’s team earned three victories and accumulated 48.33 points to end the afternoon less than two points behind leader Bucknell (50).

Lehigh travels to West Point for Patriot League Championships
In search of its first indoor Patriot League Championship, the Lehigh men’s track and field team will take to the track in West Point, N.Y. for the 2013 championships spanning from Friday, February 15 to Sunday, February 17. All of Friday’s action begins at 12:15 p.m. with the heptathlon.

Mountain Hawks set for the indoor Patriot League Championships
Now that the regular season has concluded, the Lehigh men’s and women’s track and field teams will travel to West Point, N.Y. for the Patriot League Championships inside Army’s Gillis Field House. Friday’s action will begin with the pentathlon at 12 p.m. and the heptathlon at 12:15 p.m. as the three-day meet will span from Friday, February 15 to Sunday, February 17.

Weather halts Lehigh’s trip to Armory
Due to the impending winter storm, the Lehigh men’s and women’s track and field teams will not travel to this Friday’s Lafayette-Rider Winter Games at the New York Armory. The Mountain Hawks will idle until Friday, February 15 when they travel to West Point, N.Y. for the Patriot League Championships.

Mountain Hawks set for final meet before Patriot League Championships

Lehigh breaks 4x400 meter relay record en route to fantastic split squad weekend
Highlighted by a broken record in the 4x400 meter relay at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational, the Lehigh men’s track and field team put forth a tremendous weekend effort as the team split its squad to travel to New York City, while also hosting the 21st Annual John Covert Classic. The Mountain Hawks took home five victories at the Classic to cap the successful split squad weekend.

Lafayette knocks off Lehigh 91-89 for victory in dual meet
After posting seven victories over the first 16 events, the Lehigh men’s track and field team squared off against Lafayette in the 4x800m relay in a winner-take-all event. The Leopards came out victorious which gave Lafayette the 91-89 edge over the Mountain Hawks in the meet.

Lehigh splits with Lafayette in annual dual meet
After the women coasted to a 97-84 victory, the men’s side came down to the final event in which Lafayette prevailed for a 91-89 win as the archrivals split the meet. The women won the event yet again behind senior Julia Perry and junior Brooke Astor who were named athletes of the meet. Junior Ryan Paquin and senior Devin Monroe earned the honors on the men’s half.

With less than three weeks before the Patriot League Championships, the Lehigh men’s track and field team will host crosstown rival Lafayette on Saturday in the annual Lehigh-Lafayette dual meet beginning at 2 p.m. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a third place finish at the Angry Birds meet last Saturday.

Lehigh to host crosstown rival Lafayette for dual meet Saturday
After third place finishes by both the men’s and women’s teams at last Saturday’s Angry Birds meet, the Lehigh track and field squads will rekindle their Lehigh-Lafayette rivalries with a dual meet against the Leopards inside Rauch Fieldhouse on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks will get their second look at the Leopards this season at 2 p.m. and will continue preparations for the Patriot League Championships.

Lehigh finishes third at Angry Birds meet
In a meet rewarding team depth, the Lehigh men’s track and field team put forth a strong showing at the Angry Birds at Lehigh meet inside Rauch Fieldhouse on Saturday. Lehigh posted multiple top five finishes, including wins by freshman Tyler John, junior Martin Otieno and junior Sam Bernitt en route to the third place finish.
