Lehigh's memorable season ends with loss to No. 6 Ole Miss at NCAAs
The Lehigh men’s tennis team saw a memorable spring season come to an end Friday as the Patriot League champions fell 4-0 to No.6 seed Mississippi in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks battled hard in their first NCAA appearance but the seventh-ranked Rebels proved too strong.

Lehigh ready for NCAA showdown at No. 6 Mississippi
The Lehigh men’s tennis team will play its first ever NCAA Tournament match Friday when the Mountain Hawks meet No. 6 Mississippi at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center in Oxford, Miss. The time of the match has been moved to 3 p.m. (CT), a change from when the pairings were announced on April 30.

Krentz repeats as men's tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year
As he prepares to lead Lehigh into its first NCAA Tournament appearance, senior co-captain Andrew Krentz was tabbed as the Patriot League’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men’s tennis for the second straight year, it was announced Wednesday. Krentz was also named to the Academic All-Patriot League for the third straight year. He is joined on the Academic All-League team by sophomore Mitchell Petersen.

Lehigh places three on All-League teams, Hendrix named Coach of the Year
Three members of the Patriot League Champion Lehigh men’s tennis team were named to All-Patriot League teams Wednesday. Sophomore Ben Gilman was named to the first team for the second time in his career, while junior Mark Goldberg and Mitchell Petersen earned spots on the second team. First year head coach Wouter Hendrix was also named Coach of the Year.

Gilman named Patriot League Player of the Month
Ben Gilman played a critical role as the Lehigh men’s tennis team captured its first Patriot League Championship last month. The sophomore was named Patriot League Men’s Player of the Month for April after going 6-1 in singles play and 5-2 in doubles, highlighted by the doubles point-clinching win and the championship-clinching singles win in the league finals against Navy.

Lehigh draws No. 6 Mississippi in first NCAA appearance
After winning its first-ever Patriot League championship on April 21, the Lehigh men’s tennis team learned its NCAA Tournament fate on Tuesday. The Mountain Hawks will make their first NCAA tournament appearance in Oxford, Mississippi against No. 6 national seed Mississippi, Friday May 10 at 12 p.m. CDT at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.

Mountain Hawks down Navy 4-0 to win first Patriot League title
For the first time in school history, the Lehigh men’s tennis team can call themselves Patriot League Champions, as the Mountain Hawks defeated Navy 4-0 in the Patriot League finals Sunday at Drumlins Country Club. The Mountain Hawks won a tightly-contested doubles point and then posted three straight-set singles wins to clinch the title.

Lehigh outlasts Bucknell to advance to Patriot League final
For the second time in three years, the Lehigh men’s tennis team will play for a Patriot League title as the Mountain Hawks outlasted Bucknell 4-3 Saturday in a Patriot League semifinal at Drumlins Country Club. The match came down to No. 6 singles where junior Timur Chernykh rallied from a set down to defeat Octavio Canibe in straight sets.

The Lehigh men’s tennis team advanced to the Patriot League semifinals for the fourth straight year with a dominant 4-0 win over Holy Cross Friday in the opening round of the Patriot League Tournament at Drumlins Country Club. The Lehigh men’s tennis team will head to Hamilton, N.Y. this weekend for the Patriot League Tournament. Seeds were announced earlier this week and Lehigh earned the No.2 seed for the third straight year. The Mountain Hawks will take on No. 7 Holy Cross in the opening round of the tournament for the third straight year. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. on Friday.

The Patriot League announced the seeds and schedules for the upcoming league tournament Tuesday evening and for the third consecutive year Lehigh earned the No. 2 seed. Lehigh edged at Bucknell 4-3 Monday in final regular season match
In a match that came down to a third set at No. 5 singles, Bucknell upset Lehigh 4-3 Monday in the Mountain Hawks’ regular season finale on the Bucknell Varsity Tennis Courts. Kyle Rosen beat senior Andrew Krentz 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the decisive match as the Bison swept the doubles matches and took the three singles matches needed to hand Lehigh just its second Patriot League loss.

The Lehigh men’s tennis team posted its second straight Patriot League win as the Mountain Hawks went on the road to defeat Colgate 6-1 Sunday at the Turning Stone Resort. Rivalry resumes as men's tennis hosts Lafayette Friday
The Lehigh-Lafayette rivalry will be in full swimming this weekend with head-to-head matchups in softball and track and field, but the weekend of rivalry action begins Friday on the tennis courts as the Mountain Hawks host the Leopards. Weather permitting the match will be played outdoors on the Ulrich Varsity Courts for the first time this season.

Coming off a 7-0 shutout victory against Holy Cross on Saturday, the Lehigh men’s tennis team fell to Army 5-2 on Sunday in Lichtenberg Tennis Center. Lehigh drops to 12-4 overall and 1-1 in Patriot League action. Army is right behind Lehigh in the overall standings at 12-5, but remains unbeaten in the Patriot League at 3-0.

Mountain Hawks picked third in men's tennis preseason poll
The Lehigh men’s tennis team enters the 2013 with high expectations following a runner-up finish in 2011 and a second place regular season finish a year ago. The Mountain Hawks were picked third in the Patriot League preseason poll, unveiled Thursday. Lehigh garnered 50 points in the poll, which is voted on by coaches and sports information directors.

Hendrix welcomes four in in men's tennis class of 2017
As the Lehigh men’s tennis team readies to embark on its spring season in a few weeks, head coach Wouter Hendrix has announced the addition of four student-athletes who will join the Mountain Hawks in the fall. The class of 2017 is Hendrix’s first recruiting class as head coach and features players from three states.
