Mountain Hawks set for three key home matches over next five days
With the regular season winding down the Lehigh men’s tennis team wraps up its four-match home stand with a busy stretch of three matches in five days, beginning Friday when the Mountain Hawks host Marist in non-league action. The Mountain Hawks are coming off an impressive 6-1 win over Colgate last Saturday for its first league win this season.

Lehigh downs Colgate 6-1 for first league win
The Lehigh men’s tennis team picked its first Patriot League win of the season Saturday as the Mountain Hawks downed Colgate by a 6-1 score. It was a strong overall performance for the Mountain Hawks who swept through the doubles matches and won five of six singles matches to improve to 9-6 overall and 1-1 in the Patriot League.

Mountain Hawks seek first league win Saturday vs. Colgate
After a tough loss to start the Patriot League season, Lehigh (8-6, 0-1 PL) returns home this weekend for a match with the Colgate Raiders. Saturday’s contest will be the first of four straight home matches for Lehigh as the Mountain Hawks will look to register theor third straight win against Colgate.

Lehigh drops Patriot League opener Sunday at Navy
Lehigh opened up Patriot League play on Sunday against perennial league power Navy and the Mountain Hawks came up on the short end of a 7-0 score Sunday on the USNA Tennis Courts. The host Midshipmen won the doubles point and swept all six singles matches to drop the Mountain Hawks to 8-6 on the season.

Mountain Hawks visit Navy Sunday in league opener
Lehigh begins Patriot League play this weekend when it travels to Navy on Sunday for an afternoon showdown with the Midshipmen. The Mountain Hawks will look to win their second consecutive league opener as they battle the Mids in a rematch of last year’s epic Patriot League semifinal won by the Brown and White 4-3.

Lehigh men down Loyola (Md.) 6-1 on Sunday
In its final tune-up before Patriot League play begins next weekend, Lehigh downed Loyola (Md.) by a 6-1 score Sunday inside the Lewis Tennis Center. Despite playing without junior Andrew Krentz and sophomore Mark Goldberg, the Mountain Hawks won two of three doubles matches and the first five singles flights to improve to 8-5 on the season.

Mountain Hawks set to face Loyola Sunday at Lewis Tennis Center

After two losses last weekend against Stony Brook and Binghamton, the Lehigh men’s tennis team hopes to get back to their winning ways this weekend in Virginia against James Madison and Georgetown. The Mountain Hawks will face the Dukes on Friday at 1 p.m. in Harrisonburg, Va. and the Hoyas in Alexandria, Va. Saturday at 3 p.m.

Win streak snapped as Lehigh drops heartbreaker to Stony Brook
Lehigh saw its six match winning streak come to an end in heartbreaking fashion as the Mountain Hawks fell 4-3 to Stony Brook Friday at the Lewis Tennis Center. In a marathon, back-and-forth affair, the final matches in doubles and singles were decided by tiebreaks, and while Lehigh won the doubles point on a tiebreak, it was Stony Brook who clinched the match with a third set tiebreak win at No. 5 singles.

Mountain Hawks edge Delaware 4-3 to extend win streak to four
In a tightly contested battle, Lehigh picked up its fourth straight victory, edging Delaware 4-3 Sunday inside the Lewis Tennis Center. The Mountain Hawks lost the doubles point in a tiebreak, but rallied to win four singles matches, including the clincher from freshman Dan Goldblum at No. 6 singles. All three Lehigh freshmen won singles matches as the Mountain Hawks improved to 4-1 on the season.
