BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In its final tune-up before Patriot League play begins next weekend, the Lehigh men’s tennis team will host Loyola (Md.) Sunday at 10 a.m. inside the Lewis Tennis Center. Lehigh is looking to get back on track as the 7-5 Mountain Hawks have won just one of their last five matches following a six-match winning streak.

Last week, the Mountain Hawks shut out St. Francis (N.Y.) on Saturday but then dropped a tight match to Saint Joseph’s, 4-3 on Sunday. Saint Joseph’s won the doubles point and three of the singles matches. Lehigh also won three singles matches with freshmen Ben Gilman and Mitchell Petersen respectively winning at the first two flights and junior Andrew Kentz, prevailing at No. 4 singles. Gilman now leads Lehigh with a 10-1 singles record and has played at each of the top four singles flights this season.

Loyola is 5-2 this spring. The Greyhounds are looking to bounce back from a tough 7-0 loss to George Mason Thursday in Virginia. Loyola will visit Villanova on Saturday before coming up to face Lehigh on Sunday.

Following Sunday’s match, Lehigh will open up Patriot League play at Navy on Sunday April 1, before returning home to face Colgate on April 7.
