BUFFALO, N.Y. – Lehigh senior Connor Styles concluded the Mountain Hawks’ swimming and diving season as he competed at the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships, Friday and Saturday at the University at Buffalo’s Alumni Arena Natatorium. Styles became the first Mountain Hawk to qualify for the regional zone diving meet since 2008 as he competed in both the one and three meter events.

Styles opened competition with the three meter competition on Friday, where he finished 33rd out of 41 divers with 241.40 points. The top 18 divers reached the finals, while the top four divers qualified for the NCAA Championships, March 22-24 in Seattle.

On Saturday, the Chappaqua, N.Y. native competed in the one meter event, finishing 30th out of 43 competitors with a score of 246.20.

Styles went from a walk-on diver as a freshman to an All-Patriot League selection as a senior, placing third in the three meter with a school-record score of 315.25. He also eclipsed the 300 point mark on the one meter board at the Princeton Invitational last November.
