The Nationals advanced all the way to the MLL Championship Game last year before falling to the Boston Cannons, the team that originally drafted Compitello before he was selected by the Nationals in the Supplemental Draft. Compitello will play on a star-studded Hamilton roster which features Brodie Merrill, Casey Powell, Brett Queener, Joe Walters, Jeff Zywicki and more.

Compitello wrapped up his Stony Brook career with 68 goals and 78 assists, led by his junior season when he posted 37 goals and 35 assists to lead the Seawolves to the National Quarterfinals. Compitello is now the assistant offensive coordinator for the Mountain Hawks, who are NCAA Tournament bound for the first time in school history.
