Lehigh in middle of pack after day one of Navy Spring Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – With the Patriot League Championships now just a week away, Lehigh opened up action at the Navy Spring Invitational Saturday on the Naval Academy Golf Course. Sophomore Alex DiClemente shot a two over par 73 to sit in a tie for 12th after day one, as the Mountain Hawks are tied for tenth in the 20-team field.
 
Lehigh shuffled its lineup slightly since its last action at the Lafayette Invitational earlier this week. Freshman Zach Allinson joined the lineup and shot 75 to tie for 33rd. Sophomore Andrew Arnold also rejoined the Lehigh lineup and shot 78 to tie for 73rd place.
 
Seniors Tim Rosenhouse and Doug Marcicnin also played Saturday, with Rosenhouse shooting 76 to tie for 48th and Marcincin shooting 80 to tie for 84th.
 
Brian Dorfman of Georgetown and Taylor Fuqua of George Washington both shot one under par 70s on Saturday to tie for the lead ahead of four other players who shot even par 71.
 
As a team Lehigh shot 18-over 302 to tie for tenth with LIU Brooklyn. The Mountain Hawks are 11 shots behind the team leaders, George Washington as the Colonials shot 291 to lead Columbia and Georgetown by one shot.
 
The Navy Spring Invitational will conclude with the final 18 holes, weather permitting, beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the Naval Academy Golf Course.
