BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Voting for the 2012 ESPY Awards runs through Monday, July 9 at 11:59 p.m. so be sure to vote Lehigh over Duke as “Best Upset” before it’s too late. The Mountain Hawks are competing with three other teams in that category, along with Norfolk State men’s basketball, Iowa State football and Los Angeles Kings of the NHL. The 20th ESPY Awards are set for next Wednesday (July 11) at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN.

Lehigh earned a historic 75-70 win over Duke in the NCAA Tournament March 16, becoming just the sixth #15 seed to ever beat a #2 seed. Junior C.J. McCollum posted a game-high 30 points as the Mountain Hawks never trailed by more than five and were leading for most of the game.
The Mountain Hawks are looking to become the second Patriot League men’s basketball program to win the ESPY “Best Upset” as Bucknell took home the honor in 2005 after upsetting Kansas. A college basketball team has won the award each of the last two years - VCU for its NCAA Tournament win over Kansas last season and Northern Iowa for beating the Jayhawks in 2010.
