BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh senior guard C.J. McCollum underwent successful surgery on his left foot Tuesday morning. The surgery was performed by noted foot and ankle specialist Dr. Mark S. Myerson in Baltimore after being recommended to McCollum by Lehigh’s team physician Dr. Wayne Luchetti.

McCollum fractured the fifth metatarsal in his left foot with 5:37 remaining in the first half on Saturday at VCU. The estimated recovery time is 8-10 weeks, meaning there is a possibility he could return for the final game of the regular season or Patriot League Tournament, however that possibility will depend entirely on his healing process.

“I’d like to thank everyone who’s wished me well, including my teammates, the coaching staff and all the fans throughout the world who reached out to me through Twitter and social media,” said McCollum. “I’m looking forward to treatment and recovery, and then coming back stronger than I left.”
