Lehigh snaps streak with dominating 72-43 win over Navy
The Lehigh men’s basketball raced out to a 19-point halftime lead and wouldn’t back as the Mountain Hawks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 72-43 win over Navy Wednesday night in Stabler Arena. Four Lehigh players posted double-figure points, led by 17 from junior B.J. Bailey who was 5-of-7 from three-point range. The win marked the Mountain Hawks’ seventh straight over Navy as they improve to 19-8 overall and 9-4 in Patriot League play.

Lehigh looks to get back on track vs. Navy Wednesday night
The Lehigh men’s basketball team looks to snap a three-game losing skid when it returns home to host Navy on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at Stabler Arena. The Mountain Hawks remain in a second-place tie with Lafayette and control their own destiny to earn no worse than the #3 seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament. Senior Holden Greiner has impressed as of late, scoring 44 points last week including a career-high 27 at Lafayette Sunday.

Lafayette storms back to beat Lehigh, 79-71
The Lehigh men’s basketball team opened a 10-point second-half lead, but Lafayette responded with a 14-2 run and exploded for 46 second-half points to down the Mountain Hawks, 79-71 in front of 3,433 fans at the Kirby Sports Center Sunday. Senior Holden Greiner scored a career-high 27 points, 21 coming in the second half to lead the offense. The loss marks Lehigh’s third in a row as the Mountain Hawks fall into a second-place tie with Lafayette, who’s won three straight.

Mountain Hawks look to bounce back at Lafayette Sunday
In the midst of only its second two-game losing streak of the season, the Lehigh men’s basketball team looks to bounce back Sunday when it travels to archrival Lafayette. Tipoff is set for 12 p.m. on CBS Sports Network. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a hard-fought 61-55 loss to Bucknell Monday night in front of a season-high crowd of nearly 4,000 strong.

Regular season finale vs. Army picked up by CBS Sports Network
Lehigh men’s basketball’s regular season finale vs. Army on Saturday, Mar. 2 will be picked up by CBS Sports Network, as announced by the Patriot League Thursday. Tipoff is set for 12 p.m. It marks Lehigh’s second flex game of the season, sixth CBS Sports Network game and eighth nationally-televised contest. Lehigh will travel to Lafayette Sunday for its second straight game on the network.

Lehigh drops hard-fought 61-55 final to Bucknell
Despite struggling from the free throw line and behind the three-point arc, the Lehigh men’s basketball team hung tough and nearly won its fourth straight over Bucknell, but the Bison had just enough to edge the Mountain Hawks (18-7, 8-3 Patriot League), 61-55 on Monday evening. Junior Mackey McKnight and senior Holden Greiner led the way with 17 points apiece as the road team won for the fifth straight game in this highly-contested series.

Lehigh hosts Bucknell Monday night in first-place showdown
After only one-day rest, the Lehigh men’s basketball team concludes a three game in six day stretch when it hosts Bucknell in a first-place showdown Monday night. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and will air live on CBS Sports Network with Bob Socci, Chris Spatola and Jon Rothstein on the call. The teams enter in a first-place tie with identical 8-2 Patriot League marks as the winner will have the inside track at the Regular Season Title and top seed in the Patriot League Tournament.

Spirited comeback attempt falls short at Colgate, 64-60
The Lehigh men’s basketball team erased a 21-point second-half deficit with an 18-0 run, but Colgate had just enough to sneak past the Mountain Hawks, 64-60 on Saturday afternoon. The loss snapped Lehigh’s four-game winning streak and five-game road winning streak. Junior Anthony D’Orazio tied a career high with 17 points, 15 coming in the second half while senior Holden Greiner added 12 points including three emphatic dunks as part of Lehigh’s comeback attempt which fell just short.

In the midst of a busy stretch featuring three games in six days, the Lehigh men’s basketball team looks to make it five straight wins when it heads to Colgate to face the Raiders Saturday. Lehigh men’s basketball’s game at Lafayette on Sunday, Feb. 24 has been selected as a CBS Sports Network flex game, as announced by the Patriot League on Thursday. Tipoff is set for noon at Kirby Sports Center and will be Lehigh’s seventh nationally-televised game of the season and fifth on CBS Sports Network.

Mountain Hawks pull out 60-47 win over American
The Lehigh men’s basketball team opened a 16 point second-half lead, American came back to tie it, but the Mountain Hawks ended the game on a 17-4 run to pull out a 60-47 win over American Wednesday night in Stabler Arena. Senior Gabe Knutson led the way with 18 points while junior Anthony D’Orazio tied a season-high 15 points and junior Mackey McKnight dished a career-high nine assists.

Following a successful 3-0 road trip, the Lehigh men’s basketball team returns home to host American Wednesday night. Tipoff in Stabler Arena is set for 7 p.m. The Mountain Hawks have won eight of their last nine as they remain in first place in the Patriot League with a 7-1 league mark. Junior Mackey McKnight has led the way of late, eclipsing 20 points in two straight games, most recently scoring 22 as Lehigh won at Holy Cross for only the second time in its last 19 tries.

Junior Mackey McKnight eclipsed 20 points for a second straight game to lead the Lehigh men’s basketball team to an impressive 68-61 win at Holy Cross on Saturday evening. The win marked the Mountain Hawks’ fifth straight on the road and ninth in their last 10 games as they won at Holy Cross for only the second time in their last 19 tries. Three others posted double-figure points as Lehigh improves to 17-5, 7-1 in Patriot League play.

Game at Holy Cross pushed to 7 p.m.
Lehigh men’s basketball’s game at Holy Cross has been moved from 4 to 7 p.m. due to a historic blizzard which dumped nearly 30 inches of snow on Worcester. The snow stopped and the sun peeked on Saturday morning as the storm came to an end. The Mountain Hawks are looking to continue their recent road success, winners of eight of their last nine away from home.

Winners of seven of its last eight, the Lehigh men’s basketball team begins the second round of Patriot League play when it heads to Holy Cross Saturday. Tipoff against the Crusaders is set for 4 p.m. The Mountain Hawks look to reverse their recent fortune at the Hart Center and win there for just the second time in their last 19 tries. One came in 2010 when Gabe Knutson scored a career-high 31 points to lead Lehigh to a 78-60 win.

Mountain Hawks hold off Army, 85-76
Five players finished with double figures as the Mountain Hawks took a 22-point first-half lead and held off a second-half Army charge, 85-76 on Sunday afternoon. Junior Mackey McKnight led the way with 21 points while senior Gabe Knutson posted 18 and junior Anthony D’Orazio had 15. Lehigh has now won eight of its last nine road games, improving to 16-5 overall and 6-1 in Patriot League play.

Lehigh continues road swing at Army Sunday
The Lehigh men’s basketball team wraps up the first round of Patriot League play when it travels to Army on Sunday to face the Black Knights. Tipoff is set for 1 p.m. in Christl Arena. The Mountain Hawks are off to their best start in league play since the 2005-06 season (when Lehigh began 11-1). Mountain Hawks cruise past Navy, 71-49
The Lehigh men’s basketball team bounced back from Sunday’s loss to Lafayette in a big way, jumping out to a 10-point halftime lead and extending it from there, as the Mountain Hawks topped the Midshipmen 71-49 on Wednesday evening in Alumni Hall. Sophomore Stefan Cvrkalj paced the offense with 18 points on five three-pointers, while senior Holden Greiner posted his fifth-career double-double (and second in the last four games) with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
