Lehigh and Bucknell set to clash Wednesday for Patriot League Championship
Riding a season-high seven-game winning streak, the Lehigh men’s basketball team heads to Bucknell on Wednesday eying its second Patriot League Championship in the last three seasons. The title game features each of the last two league champs as the Mountain Hawks (25-7) won it in 2009-10 before the Bison (24-8) captured the 2010-11 title. Lehigh runs away from American, 85-66; advances to PL Championship Game
Behind a sensational all-around effort from junior C.J. McCollum, the Lehigh men’s basketball team used a 17-3 second-half surge to pull away, as the Mountain Hawks (25-7) downed American (20-11), 85-66, in the Patriot League Semifinals on Saturday. McCollum scored 27 points to eclipse 2,000 for his career, while adding 10 rebounds for his 18th career double-double. With the win, Lehigh advances to its second championship game in the last three seasons.

The Lehigh men’s basketball team used a 15-0 second-half run to take a 22-point lead before holding off a valiant Colgate rally, to top the Raiders, 70-57 on Wednesday in Stabler Arena. With the win, the second-seeded Mountain Hawks (24-7) advance to the Patriot League Semifinals for the third straight season and will host #3 American on Saturday at 2 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.

Lehigh hosts Colgate Wednesday in PL Quarterfinal clash
Following a record-breaking regular season, the Lehigh men’s basketball team begins postseason play on Wednesday when the Mountain Hawks (23-7, 11-3) host Colgate in the Patriot League Quarterfinals. Tipoff at Stabler Arena is set for 7 p.m. Lehigh will face the Raiders (8-23, 2-12) for the third time this season after winning 78-56, then 89-69. Colgate was leading at or near halftime of both games, though, forcing the Mountain Hawks to stage furious comebacks.

Knutson named Academic All-Patriot League for second straight year
For the second straight season, Lehigh junior and All-Patriot League honoree Gabe Knutson has earned a spot on the Academic All-Patriot League Team, as announced on Monday. Knutson joins a pair from Bucknell and Lafayette to make up the five-member team. Knutson owns a strong 3.26 GPA as an Accounting major while excelling on the court as well.

McCollum named Player of the Year, Knutson All-Patriot League
Lehigh junior C.J. McCollum has been named Patriot League Player of the Year for the second time in three seasons, while teammate Gabe Knutson also earned Second Team All-Patriot League honors, as announced on Monday. A Lou Henson Award candidate, McCollum far-and-away leads the league in scoring (21.7) while standing third in rebounding (6.6) and fifth in assists (3.4).

Senior John Adams hit a three-pointer with 11 seconds left in overtime to give the Lehigh men’s basketball team a 74-72 win at Army Saturday. With the victory, the Mountain Hawks set a school record with their 23rd win of the season while tying a school-mark 11 Patriot League victories. The second-seeded Mountain Hawks will now get set to host #7 Colgate Wednesday night in the Patriot League Quarterfinals.

The Lehigh men’s basketball team wraps up regular season play on Saturday when it travels to Army looking for its school-record 23rd win of the season. Tipoff against the Black Knights is set for 4 p.m. The Mountain Hawks tied the wins record with Wednesday’s 58-41 win at Navy, a mark originally set just two seasons ago. Regardless of Saturday’s outcome, Lehigh will be the #2 seed and host #7 Colgate in the Patriot League Quarterfinals next Wednesday (Feb. 29).

Behind a game-high 24 points from junior C.J. McCollum and a career-high 11 from sophomore B.J. Bailey, the Lehigh men’s basketball team pulled out a 58-41 win over Navy on Wednesday to tie the school record for single-season victories. The Mountain Hawks’ (22-7, 10-3 Patriot League) defense impressed all game, holding the Midshipmen (3-24, 0-13) scoreless for long stretches including one of 8:38 in the second half to open up a double-digit advantage.

McCollum wins second straight Patriot League Player of the Week award
Lehigh standout C.J. McCollum continues to rack in the accolades as he earned his second straight Patriot League Player of the Week award on Monday. It marks McCollum’s fifth honor in the last eight weeks and sixth this season (to tie the league record he set last season). In the process, he extended his career record to 12 Player of the Week honors, four more than any other Patriot League player.

McCollum named Lou Henson Award Candidate
Lehigh men’s basketball junior C.J. McCollum has been named a candidate for the prestigious Lou Henson Award. He is one of 25 student-athletes competing for the honor as the NCAA’s top mid-major player. McCollum and Bucknell’s Mike Muscala represent the Patriot League on the list. Fan voting is underway and will continue through Monday, March 12.

Dominant second half leads Lehigh past Colgate, 89-69
Trailing 46-40 at the half, the Lehigh men’s basketball team used a 28-5 run to break a 58-58 tie on its way to a dominating 89-69 win over Colgate on Saturday evening. With the win, the Mountain Hawks (19-7, 7-3 Patriot League) jump back into a second-place tie with American, who lost to Holy Cross earlier in the day. The Raiders (7-18, 1-9) shot 68 percent from the field in the first half before Lehigh responded to shoot 71 percent in the second.
