Coed Indoor Soccer Rules

General

• A team is made up of 4 field players and 1 goalie.
  • 2 Females must be on the court at all times.
• All games will consist of a single 14 minute period
• Players must remove all jewelry prior to play
• Teams are responsible to ref their own game, however IM supervisors have the ultimate authority in determining game outcome.
• Subs may only enter the game during dead balls on either team’s possession or after a score.
• Out of bounds is designated by the gold line along the perimeter of the basketball court. Balls must be placed on the line at the spot where the ball went out.
• There are NO off sides
• Heading the ball is NOT permitted
• Goalies may not punt the ball at anytime. They must ROLL or throw the ball
• If the ball hits the ceiling, an indirect kick is awarded
• All goals must be scored within the 3 point arc. Goals scored outside of that will not count. RESULT – Free Kick
• All handballs are free kicks for the opposing team. Handballs within the 3 point are will result in a penalty kick
• NO SLIDE TACKLING – Violator will be ejected from game AND further league play. NO EXCUSES

 

Tie Breaker

Penalty kicks will be taken from the top of the arc with a goalie in the net. 4 players that were on the floor with the game ended will take alternating shots. If the game is still not decided, then players will continue to shoot one for one until a winner is decided.

Note

Reckless play will not be tolerated. Anyone caught or seen pushing or shoving players into walls or bleachers will be EJECTED and terminated from further league play. Reckless play inside the arc will result in a penalty kick. IM Supervisors have the authority to EJECT any player at their discretion.Penalty kicks will be taken from the top of the arc with a goalie in the net. 4 players that were on the floor with the game ended will take alternating shots.
