Rackley signs contract, begins training camp with Jaguars

Posted: 07/29/2011
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Former Lehigh standout and current Jacksonville offensive lineman Will Rackley signed his first NFL contract on Thursday afternoon. He then participated in the Jaguars’ evening session later that day. Selected in the third round (75th overall) of April’s draft, Rackley became the eighth Lehigh football player selected since the modern draft began in 1967.

Rackley was a three-time All-Patriot League selection for the Mountain Hawks. He started the last 40 games of his career, primarily at left tackle. He captained Lehigh to its ninth Patriot League Championship in 2010 and was selected to play in the East-West Shrine Game.

Rackley’s third round selection matches that of former Lehigh quarterback Kim McQuilken, who was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in 1973. At No. 76 overall, Rackley was picked seven spots behind where McQuilken was selected.
