BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh football team placed 25 student-athletes on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, announced Tuesday. Among Lehigh’s 25 honorees were Capital One Academic All-American Zach Barket and five of the Mountain Hawks’ All-Patriot League selections.

Freshman Noah Robb posted the top grade point average among Mountain Hawks in the fall semester, earning a 3.94 in Lehigh’s P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science. Robb edged out senior kicker Jake Peery who earned a 3.93 as a finance major. Nearly half of Lehigh’s Academic Honor Roll honorees earned Dean’s List distinction with semester GPAs of 3.6 or better.

Barket capped a strong career both on the field and in the classroom by earning second team Academic All-American honors in December. He was also named to the FCS ADA Academic All-Star team earlier this month. Barket and senior Ryan Spadola were named to both the Capital one Academic All-District II Team and the Academic All-Patriot League team. Spadola earned a 3.54 in the fall majoring in supply chain management.

In addition to Spadola, four other seniors: defensive lineman Tom Bianchi, linebacker Billy Boyko, quarterback Mike Colvin and offensive lineman Mike Vuono, were named to both an All-Patriot League team and the Academic Honor Roll.

To be eligible for the honor roll, student-athletes must maintain a 3.2 GPA and be listed on the team roster.

A total of 170 Patriot League football student-athletes were named to the Academic Honor Roll, including 13 members of the Academic All-Patriot League football team. Colgate wide receiver Chris Looney was voted the league’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year for football last November.
