BETHLEHEM, Pa. – One day after the Patriot League and CBS Sports Network announced a multi-year television agreement, the league announced that Lehigh’s October 29 football game at Colgate is one of two Patriot League football contests that will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network. The defending Patriot League champions will travel to Hamilton, N.Y. to face the Raiders in a game that will kick off at noon from Andy Kerr Stadium.

Lehigh and Colgate are both perennial contenders for the Patriot League title, and their annual match-up generally has significant league championship implications. The Mountain Hawks won their ninth Patriot League football championship in 2010, posting a 10-3 record and advancing to the second round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs. The Raiders finished last season at 7-4 and feature one of the nation’s top offensive threats in running back Nate Eachus.

Last year the Mountain Hawks built a 31-0, en route to a dominant 44-14 decision over the Raiders in the home finale at Goodman Stadium. Six different players scored touchdowns for Lehigh which won its fourth straight of what would become an eight game winning streak.

The Mountain Hawks will enter this year’s meeting looking to defeat Colgate in Hamilton, N.Y. for the first time since 2005.

The remainder of Lehigh’s television football package for the 2011 season will be announced at a later date.

In addition to the Lehigh-Colgate tilt, the league’s other football game on CBS Sports Network will be played on September 1 when Massachusetts visits Holy Cross in the first ever night game at the Crusaders’ Fitton Field.

CBS Sports Network is available across the country to 95 million homes through local cable and video providers and via satellite on DirecTV Channel 613 and Dish Network Channel 152.
The Mountain Hawks will open the 2011 season at Monmouth on September 3, while the home opener is slated for September 10 when New Hampshire visits Goodman Stadium.
