Barket and Spadola named to NFF Hampshire Honor Society

Lehigh seniors Zach Barket and Ryan Spadola have been named to the 2013 National Football Foundation (NFF) and College Hall of Fame Hampshire Honor Society, it was announced on Thursday. Both Mountain Hawks are two-time Capital One Academic All-District selections and key contributors to Lehigh’s back-to-back Patriot League championship teams in 2010 and 2011.

Lehigh head coach Andy Coen has announced the addition of Joe Bottiglieri to the Mountain Hawks’ coaching staff. Bottiglieri will coach Lehigh’s inside linebackers. The appointment marks a return to Lehigh for Bottiglieri, a coaching veteran with 40 years of experience, who served as the Mountain Hawks’ defensive coordinator and linebackers coach in 1998 and 1999.

Defense holds off offense in Brown and White Spring Game

The Lehigh football team completed its spring practice segment with the annual Brown and White game, held on a sunny but breezy Saturday morning inside Goodman Stadium. With a modified scoring system in place, the Brown team (defense) defeated the White (offense) 46-37. Both units had strong moments as the defense intercepted three passes, while the offense scored two touchdowns.
