Lehigh celebrates 2011-12 school year with annual convocation
Lehigh Athletics held its annual Convocation Program on Monday, April 30 at Baker Hall inside the Zoellner Arts Center to look back on the significant team and individual accomplishments of the past year. The event featured a highlight video, and the announcement of winners of Lehigh’s departmental awards.

Mountain Hawks wrap-up spring segment with Brown and White game
The Lehigh football team completed its spring practice segment with the annual Brown and White game, held on a warm Saturday morning inside Goodman Stadium. With a modified scoring system in place, the Offense and Defense played to a 43-43 tie. Both units had strong moments as the defense intercepted four passes, while the offense put the ball in the end zone on three occasions.

Lehigh to host annual Brown and White Spring game Saturday
The Lehigh football team will close out its 2012 spring practice segment on Saturday, April 21 with the annual Brown and White Spring Game, held inside Goodman Stadium. The event, which begins at 10 a.m., will feature a modified scoring system pitting the Lehigh offense versus the defense.

2012 Lehigh Football Spring Prospectus
The 2011 Lehigh football season will go down as one of the finest in school annals. With the program’s recent success, expectations remain high for Lehigh in 2012 as the program enters year number seven under Andy Coen. A number of key contributors will be lost to graduation, but the Mountain Hawks return 11 starters, including seven All-Patriot League selections. Coen will also look for new leaders to emerge as the Mountain Hawks gear up to make a run at a third straight league title.

Bone Marrow Drive on Wednesday serves extra significant for Hyncik
The Lehigh football team is spearheading an on-campus bone marrow testing drive on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on campus in Lamberton Hall. The drive will have extra significance for someone else from the Lehigh Athletics’ family as Marilyn Hyncik, mother of former men’s basketball captain Adam, is in need of a bone marrow transplant and has been unable to find a match.

The Lehigh football team has just passed the midway point of its spring practice segment as the two-time defending Patriot League Champion Mountain Hawks prepare for the 2012 campaign. Tuesday marked the ninth of Lehigh’s scheduled 15 workouts and seventh-year head coach Andy Coen likes what he’s seen from the Mountain Hawks in terms of attitude and approach.

Mountain Hawks to begin spring practice segment on Friday
On the heels of one of the finest single seasons in school history, Lehigh returns to the practice field Friday to begin its spring practice segment in preparation for the 2012 season. The Mountain Hawks return to the gridiron seeking a third straight Patriot League title, after a 2011 season that saw Lehigh post an 11-2 record while advancing to the quarterfinals of the NCAA FCS playoffs for the first time since 2001.

Coen names Co-Defensive Coordinators; Sanders returns to football staff
Lehigh head coach Andy Coen has announced several updates to the Mountain Hawks’ defensive coaching staff. Defensive line coach Donnie Roberts and secondary coach Gerard Wilcher have been promoted and will serve as co-defensive coordinators for the 2012 season, while former outside linebackers coach Matt Sanders returns to the Lehigh staff to coach the inside linebackers.

Lehigh announces 2012 football schedule
Coming off a season in which Lehigh captured its league-best tenth Patriot League title and advanced to the FCS quarterfinals, head coach Andy Coen announced the Mountain Hawks’ 2012 football schedule Thursday. The 2012 slate features two games apiece against opponents from the Northeast Conference and Ivy League, a trip to Big South title contender Liberty and six games at picturesque Goodman Stadium.

Coen adds three to incoming football class of 2016
Lehigh head coach Andy Coen has announced three additions to the Lehigh Football’s Class of 2016 on Friday, bringing the total number of recruits in the incoming class to 25. The Mountain Hawks, coming off their tenth Patriot League football title and a NCAA quarterfinal playoff berth, announced the signing of the initial 22 student-athletes back on February 8.

Lehigh celebrates outstanding season with pair of banquets
The 2011 Lehigh football banquet was held on Saturday, February 18, inside Iacocca Hall on Mountaintop campus. The banquet provided an opportunity for the coaches and student-athletes to reflect on one of the finest seasons in school annals. The Mountain Hawks’ 2011 season was a highlighted by Lehigh’s fourth consecutive win over rival Lafayette, its tenth Patriot League title, and its first NCAA quarterfinal berth in ten years.

Mountain Hawks land 24 on football Academic Honor Roll
Lehigh placed 24 student-athletes on the Patriot League’s Academic Honor Roll for football, which was announced on Friday. The academic honors capped off one of the finer seasons in school history, which included the team’s second consecutive Patriot League Championship and advancement to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs.

Four Mountain Hawks recognized by College Sports Journal
Four of the key catalysts in one of the finest seasons in Lehigh football history were recognized by the College Sports Journal (CSJ) when it announced its Football Championship Subdivision All-American teams. Senior quarterback Chris Lum, junior wide receiver Ryan Spadola, and senior wide receiver Jake Drwal were named to the offensive team, while senior linebacker Mike Groome was the team’s lone defensive selection.

Lehigh Athletics Ticket Office completes move to Stabler Arena
Effective January 11 and communicated via the Lehigh daily digest, the Athletics Ticket Office will be permanently located at Stabler Arena. The Stabler Arena ticket office staff and Athletics ticket office staff are now fully integrated as part of the Athletics Business Services team.

Lehigh captures eighth Lambert Cup; finishes 5th, 6th in FCS Polls
For the first time in ten years, the Lehigh football program has captured the Lambert Cup, awarded by the ECAC to the top team in the Football Championship Subdivision. Following a season in which they won 11 games and advanced to the NCAA FCS quarterfinals, the Mountain Hawks were voted No. 1 in the tenth and final Lambert Meadowlands Football Poll announced Monday evening.
