Mountain Hawks land 24 on football Academic Honor Roll
Lehigh placed 24 student-athletes on the Patriot League’s Academic Honor Roll for football, which was announced on Friday. The academic honors capped off one of the finer seasons in school history, which included the team’s second consecutive Patriot League Championship and advancement to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA FCS Playoffs.

Four Mountain Hawks recognized by College Sports Journal
Four of the key catalysts in one of the finest seasons in Lehigh football history were recognized by the College Sports Journal (CSJ) when it announced its Football Championship Subdivision All-American teams. Senior quarterback Chris Lum, junior wide receiver Ryan Spadola, and senior wide receiver Jake Drwal were named to the offensive team, while senior linebacker Mike Groome was the team’s lone defensive selection.

Lehigh Athletics Ticket Office completes move to Stabler Arena
Effective January 11 and communicated via the Lehigh daily digest, the Athletics Ticket Office will be permanently located at Stabler Arena. The Stabler Arena ticket office staff and Athletics ticket office staff are now fully integrated as part of the Athletics Business Services team.

Lehigh captures eighth Lambert Cup; finishes 5th, 6th in FCS Polls
For the first time in ten years, the Lehigh football program has captured the Lambert Cup, awarded by the ECAC to the top team in the Football Championship Subdivision. Following a season in which they won 11 games and advanced to the NCAA FCS quarterfinals, the Mountain Hawks were voted No. 1 in the tenth and final Lambert Meadowlands Football Poll announced Monday evening.

Seven Mountain Hawks named ECAC All-Stars; Lum nets top honor
Lehigh’s outstanding 2011 football campaign continues to garner recognition. On Tuesday, senior quarterback Chris Lum was named ECAC Football Championship Subdivision Offensive Player of the Year. Lum was also one of seven Mountain Hawks named to the ECAC Division I Football Championship Subdivision All-Star teams.

Lum, Spadola garner recognition from College Sporting News
The post season accolades continue to come in for two members of the Lehigh football program as senior quarterback Chris Lum and junior wide receiver Ryan Spadola were named to the College Sporting News Fabulous Fifty FCS All-America Team it was announced Monday. Both men have already received multiple All-American honors following Lehigh’s 11-2 season that ended in the NCAA FCS quarterfinals.

Lum finishes second in voting for Walter Payton Award
One of the finest single seasons in Lehigh and Patriot League history was enough to earn Mountain Hawks senior quarterback Chris Lum a trip to Texas as a finalist for the Walter Payton Award, given to the top player in the Football Championship Subdivision. Despite being the only one of the three finalists to lead his team to the postseason, Lum tied for second in the voting as Eastern Washington quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell won the award, handed out Friday night at the FCS Awards Banquet.

Barket named to FCS ADA Academic All-Star Team
Lehigh junior running back Zach Barket has been named to the 14th annual Football Championship Subdivision Athletics Directors Association Academic All-Star Team, it was announced on Tuesday. Barket is one of 58 student-athletes from across the country selected to the team, and one of four representatives from the Patriot League.
