With Lehigh's graduation set for Monday, May 20, take a look back at one of Lehigh field hockey's graduating seniors and the 2012 Co-Athlete of the Year in this highlight reel. Kim Eng finished her career as one of the top offensive players, and players, in school history with 36 career goals, 21 assists and 93 points. She was a three-time All-Patriot League honoree, the 2009 Patriot League Rookie of the Year and a 2009 All-Region pick.
The Lehigh field hockey team earned a number of academic honors from the NFHCA last week. The Mountain Hawks garnered an academic team award for a collective GPA over 3.0 while nine individuals were named to the 2012 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad. In addition, freshman Katherine Koomar was among the Division I Scholars of Distinction.
Thirteen members of the Lehigh field hockey team were named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Thursday. The 13 honorees were second most in the league, and most by a Lehigh team since the 2009 season, as the Mountain Hawks continue to impress in the classroom.
The Lehigh field hockey team looked back at its 2012 season on Sunday, Jan. 13, at its annual team banquet in the University Center. Team awards were handed out to three student-athletes who displayed excellence, on and off the field, while head coach Stacey Blue looked back at this past season, which saw big wins over Towson, Georgetown and Monmouth.
Lehigh field hockey assistant coach Susan Ciufo helped lead the U.S. Indoor National Team to the Rohrmax Cup Title last weekend as Team USA posted a 4-1 record, including a 3-2 win over Slavia Prag in the Finals. Ciufo finished the tournament with three goals and a number of assists as the United States picked up its first-ever International Tournament win in thrilling fashion.
