He brings significant versatility to the Mountain Hawks; after starting at third base as a freshman and sophomore, he moved to first base as a junior and outfield and pitcher as a senior. Walshe’s leadership was evident by being named captain of both his high school and senior legion teams in 2011. He finished with a .375 career average with eight home runs, 60 RBI, 21 doubles and 15 stolen bases. Other honors include being named Keystone Games Athlete of the Year in 2008 and The Express Times Player of the Week in 2011. Walshe was also a three-year member of the Carpenter Cup Team. He thrived in the classroom, graduating in the top 50 of his class as an Honor Roll student.
