BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Mountain Hawks and Explorers tried to fit their second game in two days in before the rain could roll in, but the squads only made it into the fourth inning before the field was unplayable. The umpires put a stop to the action with two outs in the top of the fourth inning, with La Salle leading 6-1 and the rain soaking the field at Goodman Campus.
The game will not be rescheduled for a later date.
Jordan Warncke took the hill for the Brown and White before the game was called, throwing 2.2 innings and giving up four runs – one earned. Andy Russell drove an RBI triple to center for Lehigh’s only run of the game. However, all stats and records from the first 3.5 innings will be wiped out and will not count towards team or individual totals.
The Mountain Hawks maintain a 6-21-1 record and will next take the field on Saturday when they host the Navy Midshipmen in Patriot League action starting at noon.
