Three-run first inning propels Lehigh past Coppin State, 4-2
The Lehigh baseball team rode a three-run first inning to defeat Coppin State Tuesday on Goodman Campus. Josh Flyer (2-0) earned the win while Rene Tato collected his first career save as the duo combined to strike out 11 in 8.0 IP, each going 4.0. Senior Brendan McGaheran played in his 178th career game Tuesday, tying the school games played record set by Jesse Novalis ’04.

Lehigh hosts Coppin State Tuesday in lone midweek game
The Lehigh baseball team will look to rebound after a tough weekend at Bucknell as the Mountain Hawks host Coppin State Tuesday on Goodman Campus in Lehigh's lone midweek game. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. Lehigh dropped three-of-four to Bucknell over the weekend, but the Mountain Hawks have won five straight midweek games and will look to keep that streak going.

Lehigh drops pair of games at Bucknell Sunday
The Lehigh baseball team (14-26-1, 3-9 PL) dropped a pair of games at Bucknell (19-19, 6-6 PL) Sunday, as the Mountain Hawks dropped three of four over the weekend to the Bison. Lehigh fell 6-0 in game one before a back-and-forth game two. Down to its last out, Lehigh managed to tie the game thanks to a two-run single by senior Ryan Gajdos, but Lehigh lost 7-6 in the bottom of the ninth.

Lehigh splits Saturday doubleheader at Bucknell
The Lehigh baseball team (14-24-1, 3-7 PL) split a doubleheader at Bucknell (17-19, 4-6 PL) Saturday. The Mountain Hawks took game one 8-1 before falling in game two 11-5. Senior Cory Kent threw a seven-inning complete game to earn the victory in game one as he was backed by a pair of home runs including a three-run blast by freshman John Elson, his second of the season.

Lehigh takes on Bucknell in four-game set this weekend
Winners of three straight, the Lehigh baseball team will head to Bucknell this weekend for a Patriot League clash with doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday. Both days will start at noon. The Mountain Hawks currently sit in fifth place, one game behind the Bison in the standings as the four-game set could have postseason implications as Lehigh will look to keep its hot bats going this weekend.

Lehigh wins pair of close games at UMES Wednesday
The Lehigh baseball team swept a doubleheader against the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Wednesday as the Mountain Hawks won a pair of tight games, 7-6 and 5-3. Senior Joe Conaway delivered the game-winning RBI in game one to break a 6-6 tie in the eighth while Lehigh came back from a 3-0 deficit late in game two, scoring four runs in the sixth and adding an insurance run in the seventh.

Lehigh’s offense explodes in 17-3 win vs. Scranton Tuesday
The Lehigh baseball team set season highs in hits (21) and runs in a dominating 17-3 win over Scranton Tuesday on Goodman Campus. Senior Joe Conaway and freshman John Elson each had four hits and five RBIs while sophomore Joe Abeln was 4-for-4 with five runs scored. Freshman Josh Flyer earned the win in relief, pitching four scoreless innings, for his first collegiate victory.

Lehigh looks to rebound with three midweek games
Coming off of a tough weekend series at Army, the Lehigh baseball team (10-23-1, 2-6 PL) will look to rebound and build some momentum with three midweek games. The Mountain Hawks will host the University of Scranton Tuesday at 3:45 p.m. before heading to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Wednesday for a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.

Lehigh falls in both games Sunday at Army despite strong offensive effort
The Lehigh baseball team (10-23-1, 2-6 PL) dropped a couple of tough games at Army (23-8, 8-0 PL) Sunday, falling 11-6 in game one and 17-8 in game two. The Mountain Hawks combined for 24 hits, led by senior Brendan McGaheran’s 5-for-8 day with three RBIs. Sophomore Joe Abeln and senior Joe Conaway each had three hits including two-run homers.

The Lehigh baseball team dropped a pair of games at Army Saturday, falling 1-0 in game one before losing an 8-4 decision in game two. Senior Cory Kent pitched his fourth seventh-inning complete game of the season in game one while senior Joe Conaway powered the offense in game two with a three-run home run. Lehigh will look to rebound with two more Sunday starting at 1 p.m.

Lehigh continues PL slate at Army this weekend
Coming off a pair of midweek non-league wins, the Lehigh baseball team (10-19-1, 2-2 PL) will resume Patriot League play this weekend as the Mountain Hawks travel to West Point for a pair of doubleheaders against Army (19-8, 4-0 PL). Tato leads Lehigh to 3-2 win over Delaware State
For the second straight day, the Lehigh baseball team earned a victory as the Mountain Hawks defeated Delaware State Wednesday 3-2 on Goodman Campus. Freshman Rene Tato earned his first collegiate win throwing 6.0 innings, allowing one unearned run. Junior Casey Turner was 2-for-4 including a crucial RBI single for an insurance run in the eighth while senior Cory Kent picked up the save.

Lehigh scores three in seventh to beat Temple 8-5 Tuesday
After giving up a three-run lead in the sixth, the Lehigh baseball team stormed back with three runs in the seventh en route to an 8-5 win over Temple Tuesday in the final game of the Liberty Bell Classic. All the runs in the decisive rally came with two outs as junior Casey Turner had the game-winning RBI single while freshman Conor Faust followed him up with a two-run single.

Lehigh set for pair of midweek games
After splitting a four-game series with rival Lafayette in the Patriot League weekend opener, the Lehigh baseball team (8-19-1, 2-2 PL) will get set to play a pair of midweek games. The Mountain Hawks will travel to take on Temple in the final game of the Liberty Bell Classic Tuesday at 3 p.m. and will return home to host Delaware State Wednesday at 3 p.m.

Lehigh drops pair Sunday to split series vs. Lafayette
After winning a pair of games Saturday, the Lehigh baseball team dropped two on Sunday to Lafayette to split the weekend series. The Mountain Hawks had the bases loaded with nobody out in the bottom of the seventh in game one but were unable to take advantage, falling 8-6. In game two, sophomore Nick Cassell had a solid start but Lehigh’s offense couldn’t muster up run support in an 8-1 loss.

Lehigh sweeps Lafayette Saturday behind stellar pitching
The Lehigh baseball team took the first two of the four-game series vs. rival Lafayette Saturday, winning 3-1 and then 10-2. Senior Cory Kent pitched a seven-inning complete game with seven strikeouts in game one and freshman Nick Stephens followed that up with an 8.0 IP gem. With the two wins, head coach Sean Leary became the all-time winningest coach in Lehigh baseball history with 327 wins.

Lehigh hosts rival Lafayette this weekend to begin league play
Coming off a tough loss to Delaware Tuesday, the Lehigh baseball team will look to rebound as the Mountain Hawks kick off its Patriot League slate this weekend when Lehigh hosts rival Lafayette for a four game-set with doubleheaders starting at noon on Saturday and Sunday. It marks the first time since 2003 that the rivals have faced each other to start league play.

Lehigh suffers 5-0 setback to Delaware Tuesday
The Lehigh baseball team loaded the bases twice, including once with nobody out, but were unable to take advantage as Lehigh fell 5-0 to Delaware Tuesday in the first game of the Liberty Bell Classic. Lehigh didn’t help itself, committing four errors while Lehigh pitchers walked eight batters. Senior Brendan McGaheran had one of Lehigh’s five hits, extending his hitting streak to 12 games.

Lehigh hosts Delaware Tuesday in Liberty Bell Classic
The Lehigh baseball team will look to ride the momentum from its extra-inning victory Sunday as Lehigh hosts Delaware Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the first game of the Liberty Bell Classic. Lehigh has had great success in the Classic, appearing in five finals with its lone Championship coming in 2004. With a win Tuesday, head coach Sean Leary will tie the all-time school wins mark of 326.

Faust's game-winning hit gives Lehigh split with Binghamton Sunday
The Lehigh baseball team salvaged the final game of the four-game set against Binghamton on Sunday, winning game two 5-4 in 10 innings after dropping game one 10-4. Freshman Conor Faust – who finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs - delivered the game-winning, two-out RBI single. Junior Brandon Sady earned the win, throwing two clutch relief innings.
