Four Mountain Hawks garner Second-Team All-Patriot League honors
Following the 2013 season, junior Joe Ablen, sophomore John Elson, sophomore Justin Pacchioli and senior Casey Turner were selected to the All-Patriot League Second Team it was announced Tuesday. Abeln was an outfielder on last year’s second team, but the other three Lehigh players earned a spot on the prestigious squad for the first time in their careers.

Lehigh celebrates 2012-13 school year with annual convocation
Lehigh Athletics held its annual Convocation Program on Monday, April 29 at Baker Hall inside the Zoellner Arts Center to look back on the significant team and individual accomplishments of the past year. The event featured a highlight video, recognition of student-athlete winners of Lehigh University awards and the announcement of winners of Lehigh’s departmental awards.

Mountain Hawks end 2013 with pair of losses to Navy
The Lehigh baseball team concluded its 2013 season with two hard fought losses to Patriot League rival Navy in a doubleheader Sunday at the Goodman Campus. The Mountain Hawks dropped game one 4-2 and a ninth inning rally by the Midshipmen broke the second game open and made the final score 12-5. Lehigh finished the season with an overall record of 18-29 and 5-15 in league action.

Lehigh loses two to Navy on Senior Day
Playing its final four-game stretch of the regular season, the Lehigh baseball team dropped a pair of games to Navy in a Patriot League doubleheader Saturday. The Mountain Hawks’ 5-3 loss in game one cost them a chance at postseason play while the 6-1 defeat in the nightcap made them 18-27 overall and 5-13 in league play.

Lehigh baseball’s class of 2013 reflects on their careers
Prior to the Lehigh baseball team’s Patriot League series openeer versus Navy at 12 p.m. Saturday at the Goodman Campus, the Lehigh baseball program will recognize its four graduating seniors. The program’s class of 2013 features pitchers and outfielders who helped the program to its last Patriot League Tournament appearance in 2010.

Lehigh falls in final non-league regular season game at Seton Hall
In its final non-league game of the 2013 regular season, the Lehigh baseball team lost to Seton Hall 17-7. The Brown and White enter their final four games of the year with an 18-25 record after the contest and the Pirates improve to 22-16.

Mountain Hawks to conclude non-league play against Seton Hall
Playing in its fifth road game in four days, the Lehigh baseball team will look to begin its final week of the 2013 regular season on the right foot when it goes up against Seton Hall at 4 p.m. Wednesday in South Orange, N.J. Lehigh’s record has dropped to 18-24 as the team looks to snap an eight-game losing streak, while the Pirates are 21-16 after Georgetown snapped their four-game win streak Sunday.

Lehigh falls in two low-scoring affairs against Holy Cross
The Lehigh baseball team suffered its first series sweep of the season by falling to Holy Cross 3-2 and 4-0 in a doubleheader Sunday. The Mountain Hawks are 18-24 overall and 5-11 in Patriot League action, while the Crusaders are 22-20 overall and sit atop the league with a mark of 12-4 on the season.

Mountain Hawks drop pair of close contests at Holy Cross
The Lehigh baseball team (18-22, 5-9 PL) lost both games of a doubleheader against Holy Cross (20-20, 10-4 PL) on Saturday, falling 3-1 and 9-6 respectively. Senior Casey Turner hit 4-for-7 and scored four runs in the twinbill, including a steal of home in the first inning of game two. Junior Tyler Brong went a combined 5-for-6 at the plate in the two games.

Mountain Hawks fall against Penn, 13-2
The Lehigh baseball team (18-20) concluded a six-game home stand with a 13-2 loss to Penn (21-14) on Wednesday at the Goodman Campus. The long ball hurt the Mountain Hawks in the game, as Austin Bossart hit a three run homer and Rick Brebner smacked two-run shots in the fourth and fifth innings that created an 11-0 hole for Lehigh.

The Lehigh baseball team suffered its first doubleheader sweep of the season after falling to Bucknell by scores of 7-2 and 8-1 Sunday at the Goodman Campus. Lehigh drops to fifth in the Patriot League standings, while Bucknell is tied for second with a mark of 7-5. The Bison improved to 12-23 overall and the Mountain Hawks fell to 18-19.

The Lehigh baseball team picked up another split in a pair of one run games with a 4-3 win and a tough 7-6 loss in 10 innings versus Patriot League foe Bucknell on Saturday. Lehigh falls against Delaware State in rain-shortened game
Bad weather ended hopes of a comeback by the Lehigh baseball team in a 10-8 loss against Delaware State on Wednesday on the Goodman Campus. The game, which featured four lead changes, was called due to a thunderstorm with two outs in the top of the seventh inning. The Mountain Hawks drop to 17-16 with the non-league loss and the Hornets improve to 21-10.

Lehigh falls 6-4 in defensive battle at Rider
Two runs in the ninth inning were not enough for the Lehigh baseball team, which fell to Rider 6-4 in a non-league game that was rescheduled from last month. Both teams turned two double plays in the contest, but the Mountain Hawks left 11 runners on base to drop to 17-15 on the season. Rider stands at 17-12 after the victory on Sonny Pittaro Field.

Lehigh to face Rider and Delaware State in break from PL action
The Lehigh baseball team will take a midweek break from Patriot League play when it goes up against Rider in a rescheduled game on Tuesday and hosts Delaware State on Wednesday. The contest at Rider was postponed from March 6 due to rain. First pitch for both games is slated for 3:30 p.m.

Lehigh’s bats break out in historic second game of twinbill against Army
After suffering a 3-1 defeat to Army in game one, the Lehigh Baseball team broke out with a 19-10 drubbing of the Black Knights in the nightcap to split a Sunday doubleheader at Goodman Campus. Lehigh’s 19 runs and 22 hits were the highest totals since a 19-19 tie at Saint Joseph’s during the 2009 season.
