It is the Mountain Hawks’ second berth in three years and first under first-year head coach Bob Bertucci. Lehigh was led by sophomore Paige Kruse’s match-high 10 kills and was one of five Mountain Hawks with at least six kills.

In the first match earlier in the year, Lehigh was up 2-0 before winning in five sets. On Friday night, Lehigh again was up two sets but this time finished Lafayette off in the third. The Mountain Hawks also ended American’s eight-game win streak. It was Lehigh’s third all-time win against the Eagles in 27 matches as the Mountain Hawks also gave American its first-ever three-set loss in a regular season match since it joined the Patriot League in 2001.

The Mountain Hawks were up 2-0 before dropping the next two sets, but Lehigh rebounded and cruised to victory over the Leopards in the decisive set. Lehigh was led by sophomore Lizzy Silverstein who posted a career-high 18 kills while sophomore Rachel Charles tied a career-high with six service aces.]]></summary></entry></feed>
