Lehigh fourth in initial President's Cup Standings

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League released the initial 2010-11 Presidents’ Cup Standings on Monday and Lehigh checked in with 31.25 total points, which places the Mountain Hawks in fourth place overall. The men (16.25 points) are currently tied for first overall, while the women (15 points) sit in fifth place. Colgate is the current overall leader with 39.25 points, and is followed by American, Bucknell, the Mountain Hawks, Army, Navy, Holy Cross and Lafayette.
On the men’s side, Lehigh is tied for first with Colgate. The Mountain Hawks won the Patriot League football title, while the Raiders won the regular season championship in men’s soccer. American is third with 13.25 points followed by Bucknell, Navy, Holy Cross, Army and Lafayette.
In the women’s standings, Colgate is currently on top with 23 points, followed by Bucknell with 22.5 points. The Mountain Hawks captured the Patriot League tournament championship in women’s soccer and sit fifth, behind Colgate, Bucknell, American and Army, and ahead of Lafayette, Navy and Holy Cross.
Presidents’ Cup points are based by a team’s performance in the regular season and postseason. Lehigh has yet to capture the Presidents’ Cup, but the Mountain Hawks have finished second twice and finished third in 2009-10
