Posted: 08/23/2012
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With the fall season set to get underway on Friday, Lehigh Athletics has announced its fall broadcast schedule. For the third straight year Lehigh has partnered with Stretch Internet to deliver fans live action via the Lehigh GameCentral portal. Most men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, and volleyball home contests will be broadcast live on the Lehigh web site as part of the GameCentral pay-per-view offering. The GameCentral interface will also feature the Lehigh radio broadcast of every football game, and live streaming video for at least six of the Mountain Hawks’ 11 games. An industry leader in on-line broadcasts, Lehigh Athletics will make available over 200 events on its web site in 2012-13.

In addition to streaming audio and streaming video via Flash, the GameCentral portal also features access to Live Stats during all home games – even when there’s no broadcast available. Additionally, registered users will also have the ability to talk about the game as it happens with the Live Chat function embedded in the portal.

Lehigh fans with GameCentral can also access live broadcasts on the go. The portal is not only compatible with desktop Macs and PCs, it offers the ability to watch or listen to games live on mobile devices. Currently, the GameCentral interface supports iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and Android devices.

All broadcasts on-line are aired live, and are available following the conclusion of the event on-demand for enjoyment at any time. Events are priced at $3.95 for a radio or audio broadcast, or $7.95 for a video or television broadcast.

For less than $8 per month, fans can enjoy all Lehigh streaming content both live and on-demand with the Season Pass.  The Season Pass is priced at $79.95 for access from the sign-up date through June 30, 2013.

Once again, the Lehigh Sports Magazine – Lehigh’s weekly television show featuring highlights and interviews from coaches and student-athletes from all of the aforementioned sports will air throughout the fall each week. The Lehigh Sports Magazine premieres on Monday, September 3, and can be seen on-demand through the GameCentral portal at no charge (though free registration is required).
The 2012-13 Lehigh broadcast schedule gets underway on Friday, August 24, when the women’s soccer team hosts Seton Hall at 4 p.m. The complete fall schedule, which is subject to change, calls for broadcasts of all 11 football games, nine volleyball matches, eight men’s soccer games, seven field hockey games and six women’s soccer contests.
