ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Lehigh tuned up for its final race of the fall season by hosting the Lehigh Dam Fall Regatta along the Lehigh River on Saturday.  The Mountain Hawks welcomed Penn State to town and the Brown and White took first place in every race it competed in except one.  Among the races that took place on Saturday were the women’s novice 8, men’s novice 8, men’s and women’s varsity 4, men’s and women’s varsity 8, men’s and women’s novice 4 and the women’s light-weight 8.

Among the highlights on the day was the men’s varsity-eight boat winning its respective race by 25 seconds over Penn State with a time of 7:04.  The men’s and women’s novice four boats both won in convincing fashion as the men won by 19 seconds and the women took first place by 36 seconds with a time of 9:37.  The women’s varsity eight easily cruised past the Nittany Lions with a time of 8:14 compared to Penn State’s 9:12. 

Lehigh returns to action on Saturday, November 10 when the Mountain Hawks travel to Philadelphia to compete in the Frostbite Regatta along the Schuylkill River.
