EASTON, Pa.- The Mountain Hawks fell to Lafayette in three games Friday night in Easton. The game scores were 30-20, 30-27 and 30-17. Lehigh’s record now falls to 3-11 on the season, including 0-3 in Patriot League games. The Leopards improve their record to 8-10 overall and 1-2 in the Patriot League.
In the first game, Lehigh and Lafayette battled evenly for the first couple of points; however the Leopards broke away with their ninth point, and would not relinquish the lead for the rest of the game.
The Mountain Hawks continued to chip away at Lafayette in the second game as the teams were tied at 26 points each late in the game. The Leopards proved to be too strong though, as they outscored Lehigh 4-1 down the stretch to claim the second game.
