Lehigh competes at Navy Spring Invite

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Lehigh competed in the Navy Spring Invitational this past weekend and due to frigid weather conditions, the teams were only able to complete the first round on Friday. Saturday’s round was cancelled, so Friday’s results stand as final. The Mountain Hawks finished 22nd out of 25 teams at the event with a one-day total of 325, as St. Bonaventure won the team crown with a one-round score of 300. Senior Alan Borowsky again led the Brown and White with a 79, which placed him in a tie for 54th place.
Other Mountain Hawks that competed were Matt Denison, who shot an 80 and tied for 66th place, Steve Suarez with an 81 (T-80), Will Robinson with an 85 (T-115) and Shane Gilroy, who shot an 87 and tied for 123rd place. Seton Hall’s Kyle Morris won the event with a 69, while Scooter Buhrman of Longwood and Ryan Swanson of St. Bonaventure both shot a 72 to finish tied for second place. Rounding out the top-five of the team standings were Longwood (301), Penn (303), Loyola (304) and Seton Hall (304).
The Mountain Hawks will return to action on April 14 when the Mountain Hawks compete in the Lafayette Invite at Center Valley Country Club. Tee time is set for 8:00 AM.
