CAMDEN, N.J. – Saturday’s conditions were awful with temperatures in the low 40's, rain, with a strong crosswind. Most races were forced to use floating starts. Racing was delayed, some events were cancelled, and others postponed.
On Sunday the sun returned as Lehigh raced to a fifth place in the grand final of the Men's Varsity Eight race three seconds behind fourth place Marist. Temple won with Holy Cross, and Hobart College following. This marks the third consecutive year the men’s varsity eight has made the grand finals at the Knecht Cup.
The women varsity four placed sixth in the grand final a day after winning their heat. Lehigh’s women’s boat was made up of coxswain –Sarah Michaels, Stroke seat-Denise Julian, 3-Sara Brams-Miller 2-Diana Philipovia, bow-Christine Porcaro.
The race of the day for Lehigh came late on Sunday in the novice men’s eight category.
