Mountain Hawks take top spot at Muhlenberg Invite

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Lehigh won its second team title in the last three events as the Mountain Hawks took first place in the Muhlenberg Women’s Golf Invitational at a chilly Lehigh Country Club on Monday afternoon. Lehigh shot a 334 as a team to best second place Kutztown by one stroke.
Lehigh junior Taylor Sauer paced the Mountain Hawks with an 82 on the day, 11 strokes over par. Sauer finished fourth overall. Sophomore Alison Webb shot an 83 to finish in fifth place. Junior captain Kassia Nelson also posted a top ten overall finish with an 84, as did sophomore Yvonne Kukora (85). Senior Lauren Barton (101) also took part in the event for Lehigh.
Courtney Fox of Ursinus shot an 80 to capture individual medalist honors.
Lehigh returns to the links on Monday, when the Mountain Hawks begin competition in the two-day Hartford Invitational in West Hartford, Conn.
