Lehigh takes part in Hoya Women's Invitational

LEESBURG, Va. – Lehigh sophomore Yvonne Kukora posted a 24-over par 168 to pace the Mountain Hawks at the Hoya Women’s Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 1-2. Host Georgetown won the event with a score of 612 – 17 strokes better than second place Yale. Lehigh shot a 686 to finish eleventh at the 15-team event, which took place at the par 72 Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club.
Georgetown’s Christy Larrimore shot a one-under par 143 to capture individual medalist honors.
The Mountain Hawks were led by Kukora, who rebounded to shoot an 82 on Sunday after posting an 86 in the opening round on Saturday. Sophomore Allison Juster shot an 85 Saturday and an 86 in the second round, for a two-day score of 171. Classmate Alison Webb finished one stroke in back of Juster with a 172 (84-88). Freshman Katey Gumz (91-87-178) and sophomore Tiina Olsson (88-97-185) also competed in the Hoya Women’s Invitational for the Mountain Hawks.
Lehigh returns to the links on Monday, April 3, when the Mountain Hawks take part in the Muhlenberg Invitational at Lehigh Country Club in Allentown, Pa.
